Herefordshire beef and ale pie!!!

Went over to R's place yesterday, he races and builds old style dragsters/altereds . Spent hours talking about hot rods and stuff we got up to in the past (he is my age so with Nick 3 almost 70 year olds) . He did comment that me being trans he excepted even if he didnt understand, I said being trans does not change you as a person as such and I am still me. He had 2 dragsters being built in his shop and its a workshop to die for with all the tooling (lathe, mill and other gear).
 Well its food shop day again, not much to get as off on holiday next week. Need to get some stuff for the kids (box of biscuits) to add to their presents as it will be to late when we come back. Cards and wrapping paper as well.     

It all sounds very festive Davina and who doesn't like a well-tooled shop?

Todays a bust, just cant come around and feel exhausted. Should have gone down the workshop and sorted some stuff out before the next storm hits this evening. It can all wait till I come back from holiday, have a lot of sorting out/cleaning to do at home anyway. Might feel better if I have an afternoon nap, sometimes my brain needs a reboot that it didnt get when I wake up in the morning.

See the universe work in mysterious ways, I went into the kitchen to get the clothes out the washing machine and the floor was wet. Damn I thought bloody washing machine has broke but no its the hot water heater under the sink, managed to mop it up and eventually find the isolator tap to the heater as it was still leaking. Glass half full as it could have gone when I am away next week and totally flooded out as well as down stairs flats ceiling. Got on to the agents and waiting for the plumber to get it touch.   

Over slept this morning but now feel "normal", mum rang and the wind has shredded my new car cover. I expected that, they reported 90mph gusts in some places .A lot of Christmas fairs ,football games and stuff cancelled this weekend.
 Meanwhile back in my flat I am having a sort out/clean up day. Was going to clean/mop the kitchen floor but no need now after yesterdays flood!

Storm has abated, still windy. Mum said its killed my new car cover. Still on the house cleaning and sorting, packing my suitcase and getting ready to leave tomorrow at 7.30 am .Sister is picking me up and then collecting mum to catch the coach at 8.15, we then have to do lots more pickups before we stop for a lunch break/final pickup at 12.15 so hope my bladder holds out!!
 Not sure if I will be able to post from my phone so see my readers (Lori and Emma !!) next Friday night.XXX

Maybe the coach has a thunder mug you can use.

Oh my God, bladders and buses.  I was coming back from a wedding in Wales late at night (Yanks are terrible with pints) and I forced the bus driver to pull over.  I hopped over a stone wall and realized that I was in a church cemetery. 

I was desperate and no one complained.

Davina, I hope there are plenty of toilet stops on your trip!!!!!!!!!!!!

WE were fine, got to the hotel at 4.30 after an 8.15 start with 2 comfort breaks. Room was good, food was good and the folks on the bus were fine. Bought a few things and mum got loads of books(as usual) and I managed to fit 5 in my case so it was rather heavy to lug to the coach this morning. We are both exhausted and plump, need another hols to get over this one!

Washing machine on, bag to unpack. They did fit my new hot water heater so thats good. Holley carb came for the Hereford, motor fresh as it still has fuel in it!! Nick rang me last night, if you come over to my place you can come with us to the Christmas meal. Very kind of them, should be a fun night.

I love when everyone starts Christmas plans and I particularly love when people are so inclusive! 

It's a special time of year.

Was a good party last night, recovery day now.

I rely on sleep, a solid breakfast, and no power tools...

Just had a sofa day catching up on the Strictly come Dancing final that I missed going out, the person that won was blind and I hoped he would win. The joy on the other finalists at him winning is something to see.
 Back at "normal" today, had to get under the Countryman (go wash your brain out!) to measure the drive shaft sizes. That was "fun" in mums tiny 60s garage .

Sometimes, Davina, I have to read what you wrote a couple of times. Wait. What did she say?

There is nothing wrong with a nice Countryman with a good-sized driveshaft. 

Apparently size does matter, for driveshafts on cars.

Cup size too, if you want a large cup, of coffee.

Made me chuckle, over slept ! Well woke early and put radio on and listened to the news and a bit of the local radio breakfast show. Next thing I woke up again!
 Bit dull and cloudy this morning, off down the workshop again as need to drag that beetle engine out and rebuild it for sale.
