Quote from: Emma1017 on November 23, 2024, 09:51:09 AMI still believe that the joy I have being with her is still far greater than the joy of being fully out as Emma without her.

My own relationship is much the same - it has always brought me so much that I've learned to be happy with a compromise like yours. There are no rules in this situation, save the ones you set, and nobody gets to inhabit the relationship that you do. I think you're great.

Ahhh Tanya back at you.

Every transgender person is a champion in my mind.  We are tough but we keep our hearts at the ready.  So much better than living a bitter life.

We always find our joy despite all the attacks and pain!

I did another day of sub-teaching.  It gets better every time!  I have become more accepted.  Still stuck with the science and math classes.  I guess those subjects are burning out the teachers faster.

The principal is going to give me his teacher's vacation schedule so I can plan better.  I still have to go to work and it will be easier to know ahead of time.

Well math classes do COUNT so not all is lost.

I can't knock math classes Chrissy.  I met my wife in constructive linear algebra in college but I am more of a history buff.

I decided to do something special just for me.  On Black Friday, I booked an inside cabin on the Queen Mary 2 from Southampton to NYC March 7 at a ridiculously low price.  Cheaper than if I flew. My wife can't do the open ocean but she was totally accepting for me to do it on my own.  I live on the NY coast but have never been in the open ocean beyond 30 miles in a boat.

The QM2 is the last ocean liner. Something to take off my bucket list.

I am coming to London two days early.  I plan to shop as Emma and I am seriously considering doing the cruise as Emma, a very scary thought.  I may even buy a dress for the formal night....and I will go as a brunette not grey! ;D

This is the style I was thinking of:

I will probably talk myself out of the formal night. Tough to do that all alone and worrying all the time about being clocked.

Such a coward but I am so looking forward to this unstructured trip.

That's a very classy look. Summon the courage and go for it. Have fun!

So what if you get clocked? You don't know these people and may not ever see them again in your lifetime. Or maybe, just maybe, you will make a friend and ally. Do what makes you feel good and worry less about what issues others have. You may be surprised and it will be a big nothing burger and you will have the time of your life.  ;D

A classy look Emma.  Enjoy that time should you partake.

Well they will not throw any darts at you but they may discuss clothing darts!
The breast darts do help make some room for the boobs.  If they were not there on some shirts I would have some upper button area stretching.  Not a good look for my button ups, despite my breasts being smallish.

Have a fun and interesting day.

Chrissy

Emma,

Happy to hear that you are taking this trip and encourage you to go as Emma. As Lori said you will never see anyone rom the ship again. Before I legally changed my name and gender maker, I traveled internationally as Ellen without any issues.

You are going to have fun.

Thank you all for your words of support. Still not sure what I will ultimately do but I am shopping in London and I usually don't runaway from a challenge.

This feels like a lot.

I also realize that I have a lot more waist than the young lady wearing the dress in the photo...😊

The secret is to give them something else to look at. Pump up those boobs and the waist looks just fine.  ;D
