Got a call, come down to the camp site the Debbie Parry band are on. Sam put Debbie on the phone! come down we will get you in. So rushed to change, I had just finished my dinner and shot off down the road. Misjudged how hot it was (muggy) and got to the field, Debbie's husband came and got me past security as no wristband. By now I was feeling the heat and sweating a lot so sat down, thought I was going to throw up at one point. Keith said do you want a drink and I said water please so he came back with bottled water. That made me recover. Band finished and I managed to find Sam, she dragged me up the camp site to meet her friend and then we walked back to town to see a band at the pub by the bridge playing rock and roll. Got to 9 and I said I was still feeling a bit woozy so went back home. Early bed and okay now, must drink more today!(may not be water!!) Off up town to see who is playing later.

Proper muggy again, just done a trip to chemist to get my patches and then down to the field where the main stage is  and all the trade stands. Nice cup off coffee and headed back up town, called in the record shop and got a copy of Beach Boys greatest hits .The other one I have been after is Human League Love and Dance but he has never seen one. Popped back home to leave the record, back up town now to see whats on.

3 hours walking and I am done in ,its the humidity. That hot a kitchen paper towel that I soaked in water for my forehead has dried out!!

5pm and had enough for today, bought a pizza for dinner that was cooked while I waited. Crashing out now.

It was okay, thin crust peperomia. My friends Nick and Celina tried to ring me but signal breaking up, they were only out side!! Text sorted that and I let them in and they came up to see me for a bit.Weather changed a bit but still a bit muggy. 

Car show Sat and Sun ,Austin got a loot of looks and had to tell folks what it was and what I had done. Watched my lads band last night, best band at the festival so said a lot of folks. Legs worn out so that is it for me now, still 5 hrs left till it ends.

Still waiting for parts to turn up to fix the Austin, started stripping and storing the bits for my next build. Austin Hereford nicknamed the Herferod, its getting a Rover (Buick) 215ci V8 and I have 2 to make one good one. Running out of space in my workshop so a big rearrange needs to happen. 2 weeks till the big trip to hot rod run, still all my camping gear to sort out yet.

Legs still not recovered, back aching so carried on sorting my workshop out. Storage space sorted now, lots of stuff in the scrap pile. Some bits turned up for the Austin but not working on the floor/under dash till I feel better. Called in on mum as needed to adjust the clutch on her car (she slips it pulling away with to many revs) and ended up picking a bowl of blackberries, she gave me 2 cooking apples to go with it and I made a crumble . Aunty rang while I was there and said she had to go someplace tomorrow morning so not shopping, great I said to mum we will be quick! and then I said I will pick you up. Its her fish and chip week so I might get some for myself (2 nights dinner).

I am sorry your legs are not doing well right now.

Davina too bad you could take the boot of an old car and make a hot tub for your back.  That would catch attention at a car rally...

Just need longer radiator hoses rerouted to the back. 

And reroute the blowers for the bubbles.  Toss in some bubble bath and Davina will be the talk of the rally!

Old hat, its been done----------- Talking to one of Ds customers as he looked around the Austin and "dropped " myself in it saying I had started working in the local garage when I was 15. He said still a boy straight from school and without thinking I said yes and look at me now a 70 year old woman! He left quick. Odd dream time, I was someplace in a restaurant and managed to find a seat. No menu and then found I didnt have my purse so went to walk back to get it only to find it was in my bag over my shoulder. Then I got lost going back, met my friends and we walked to the restaurant but it wasnt there just a muddy place that turned into a quarry. Very odd!!

Also had a laugh with one of Ds lady customers with saying you know when your sweaty when you undo your bra strap and it stays put and you have to peal it off, She said I dont have that problem as small breasts (not the word she used) well I said mine are not that big and she said bigger than mine!

Steam rally done, got there at 9am, left at 12.30 with an empty purse and 2 bags of bits. One has car stuff and the other nice food, got nice cheese, pasty and sausage roll, samosas and a curry with rice that I will have for dinner. Got most of workshop bits, that bag was cutting through my hand and knees had enough so back early. Still seen it all before over the years. its getting bigger now, cars backed up the roads waiting to get in when I left!!!
