Sunday morning and laying in bed, sun is shining and the last remnants of summer with temps in the 20's still.
We went on our usual walk yesterday and over the summer watched as the land in the gully has changed. Gone have all the small ponds. The large lake is now two small ones and the vegetation on the rocky areas has all died.
Some of our favourite little things like trying to skim pebbles on the pond with a shallow shore line has been replaced by walking on the dry pond bed up to the large rocks, impossible to reach only a few months ago.
However picking the very sweet blackberries is a treat even if the bushes take revenge on our arms and legs, noting to self each time not to wear short summer dresses. We would come home with red hands, evidence should it ever be the case of being caught red handed.
At home as the evenings are getting dark earlier, with sunset before 8pm for the first day today, it's time to start watching some TV again. Rez has never had a TV for the 5 years he has been in the UK and now he is living with me I was trying to find something he and I would be interested in. I tried a few programs without success then a couple of days ago I tried "The Rookie Feds". It was amazing to watch him. On the edge of the sofa spellbound like a child. At the end he said "I like that program". Success!
