Geez, good question, Steph.
I've thought about the body kinesthetics thing for, well, a long time. But never with any serious thought until recently. Somewhere here I posted about last summer observing a couple of girls (the GG variety) practicing tennis, and how the learner was no good because she was self-conscious about appearing female.
(Okay, that's the set-up...)
Just to venture a guess-y viewpoint, I'd say you'll probably do fine if you're really in touch with your female-ness. I view dancing as a form of communication, like music. You're communicating an inner state. And in your case, Steph, you're no longer censoring that inner state, trying to strain out anything that isn't hyper-male NCO

. Let yourself go! Stike some poses! Make some mistakes! Dare to look stupid! Have fun! Don't worry about the mechanical stuff.
While I'm thinking about it, I'm told that pre-pubertal boys and girls' bodies are the same (with the exception of sex organs, of course

.) So why do little boys learn to throw a baseball like a big league pitcher, and little girls use that little-girl bent-arm sorta' side throw? Nature? Nurture? I think that it's because if you're a little girl, there's no penalty for not throwing like a boy (just my 2ยข

) Question for the FtM's on this board: Did you learn to throw things well when you were a child?
Any way, I digress(ed). I'm a fool for good Techno/Trance (at my age

), and one thing I'm looking forward to with the support group I joined is the chance to attend Sacramento's arguably best dance club, Faces (so good, straights regularly attend this G/L club!) Let's see how well Karen can dance!
You go, Steph!
