I just got a new camera, so I figured I would take the opportunity to take some current photos and replace my avatar.  Ta-da!  Here's what I look like 15 years older and 80 pounds heavier. (But who's counting?)   ;D

I also got fed up with my hair this weekend and took the clippers to it.  I think the sk8ter hair will have to wait for winter.   ;)

you cut your own hair?  how do you deal with the back?

Not to butt in J.T. but it's actually not that hard. Ive been doing it for over 5 years now and I can safely say that Ive only butchered it once. Im sure all the mirrors help also :-) Give it a try - It'll grow back

The clipper attachment does most of the work for you.  The hardest part is if your hair has any bits that don't grow neatly along the hair line at the back of your neck.  That takes some juggling of a hand mirror and the clippers, while simultaneously working out what direction to move your hand while looking at a reflection of a reflection.  A lot of clippers come with a DVD that shows you the basics, and like 4Sparky said, if you really butcher it, when you keep it very short anyway, at least it doesn't take very long to grow out again.

I usually just tie a shoe string around so it makes a straight line at the bottom of my neck and do it by feeling with my other hand with the help of the shoestring. Probably doesn't work nearly as well as the mirrors and all of that, but it's quicker and doesn't usually turn out TOO bad, haha.

Silly me, I thought guys went to a barber shop, got their hair cut, talked about the Giants and the Niners and read Playboy while they waited.  (just for the articles, 'ya know.)

Of course not, silly.  We talk about the Twins and the Vikings.  (Or the Brewers and the Packers, depending on which side of the river you're on.)  ;)
