If they consider it to not be close enough in size. right and left I think the revisions will be free. I'm just a bit of a coward when it comes to hospitals and was hoping I wouldn't need one.

Did you have a peri, Jay? If so, you really have to give it a lot of time to settle down before making that decision. I hear it takes months for a hematoma to reabsorb, so it could all be okay.

PIX OR IT DIDN'T HAPPEN.

Lol, I joke. That's wonderful. Sounds like things went pretty well, considering. Sometimes top work can go really bad.

I didn't have peri done as far as I know (is that the same as keyhole?).

Had the areola reduced, scars running from left and right from the nipples but not to the armpits which I was worried about. I hope to post some photos once swelling goes down (looking good so far other than the difference in size from right to left).

That problem seems universal! John, so glad you're feeling better. Please thank Janette for keeping us updated as well. Heck, I'd hug ya except I don't wanna hurt ya! :) Big congratulations and it's so great to see you back safe and well.

Hi all,

Just thought I'd let you all know it is progressing. The swelling on the left side has now gone down considerably and I am happy with the overall size of both sides. I have still have some scabbing on right side nipple still but the left side scab has now come off (since these photos were taken) and it's looking great underneath. I've posted some links to the photos below. These were taken at 4 weeks post op. It is now 5½ weeks and as I said the left nipple now has no scab at all. The right side one (where I had the haematoma) had much bigger and thicker scar to start with so I figure it will take longer tome off. It is now only about the size of a pea but I don't want to try and pull it off in case it damages the nipple. The link to chest2.jpg shows where the haematoma had drained down into the right side of my waist. Orginally it went right up to my ribs but you can see on the photo it has subsided a lot and it has now gone completely. I will leave these on the site for a while and then update them with some newer ones in the near future (if I remember). Hope this works:-

Wow. Those might clear up pretty well (the scars, I mean). I've seen much worse.

I'm hoping I'm small enough to get away with a keyhole. I'm an A cup...

I was a b cup. I didn't want keyhole (I was too big as a b size anyway) as I have not been very impressed by the way the chest sits afterwards. It can end up looking like a boob that's had it's inards sucked out (looks like they have been popped). The specific surgeon that I had my surgery done with leaves some of the breast tissue behind in the higher end of the chest so it doesn't look "pigeon chested". The only thing is I will have to keep my eye out for lumps more than with sugery where they remove all of the breast tissue. I am happy with the contouring on my chest, will have to see how the scarring heals and get on my gym as soon as I am able. I have been told to wait for a month or so until the tightness eases.

Both my nipples were removed, the areola was made (much) smaller and the whole thing moved up 1cm. The surgeon said I because when I was younger i used to work out a bit it had stopped ny chest drooping so he only had to move it up 1cm. With larger breast sizes they may have to move them up more. The thing is with keyhole is i am not sure whether they do anything with the nipples or areola and female ones are usually bigger than males. My nipples were bigger than my partners and she's a DD cup. I haven't had them reduced as apparently they will shrink through the trauma of the op but it will remain to be seen, my areolas are now only about half the size they were pre op though.

Hope you heal well dude!!

You know, some of those reasons you stated for having the double incision sound like some of the reasons I'm debating between Keyhole and incision (but leaning toward incision). I'm a B cup too and my nipples are huge, and it bugs me because I know guy's nipples are smaller and I want my chest to look as male as possible. Plus I'm probably going to be working out a lot, and I've heard keyhole makes your boobs look saggy sometimes....Saggy boobs + toned abs does not equate. I love scars anyway, I'll take the scarring.

Take good care of yourself man :D

OMG! i'm squeamish.

when the first picture was loading, i kept thinking, oh, i just know i'm gonna faint when i see this. and then i saw it, and even though i got my typical "surgical" reaction, i also had to acknowledge that that is mighty fine looking work. it's beautiful.

congratulations.

I am still aiming for keyhole... I know that after the fact I can go back and have revisions. I'd like to give no scarring a chance and if that doesn't work then I'll deal with scars from the revision process. Of course, I'll discuss with my doctor what option they think is best, since they're the professional and all.

Looks great man, and that hematoma went down nicely. You'll be shirtless on the beach soon!

John,
Glad to hear you are doing GREAT! I didn't have any complications and my left side was a lot more swollen than the right. I'm not a DR. but it could just be normal. My left side took a lot longer to heal and always gets more sore than the right. Hope all is well! Camden
