I don't mind any insects coming within close proximity of me. that is of couse for the exception of the blood sucking insects. All other insects don't bother me, not even wasps and bees as well as butterflies and dragon flies and such. Unless you make a fast movement even the hornets and bees will not hurt you, they'll just fly around you, landing a few times then deciding that supper was not salty enough for them they will take off again. Same as any other critters of the wilds such as snakes won't bother you unless you startle or scare them into a defensive response, especially if they feel threatened, an instinctive action born from self preservation.
Also stay away from any of the larger critters of the wild you may find wandering about the sidewalks in your home town. These critters may have only wondered in, in search of food, but there are also some that are acting kind of weird. We had two such incidences take place twice in one week here in Vancouver city. Two bears one appeared to be full grown bear and another who attacked a lady in her own backyard was just a cub, very unusual behaviour for a bear cub to act like that because they are usually friendly towards people.
Just a little education about Mommy natures critters. I had lots of time to watch the behaviour of both wild and domestic animals, I lived a good part on my life either in the country or close to it, like walking distance.
