Hi I must agree with Stardust and Miss Bev. Epilating also had the best results for me and I did once have thick dark hair on chest arms and legs. Thankfully nothing on the back. The very first thing I tried was an epilator but it didn't work to well because of the constant regrowth of hairs the next morning It felt like I hadn't epilated at all. Goodness the itching nearly drove me up the wall. When at work I certainly didn't have the liberty to scratch every time I got an itch, every one would have thought I had a bad case of fleas or something. So I shaved for about five years, then I noticed something, I wasn't getting as many shaving nicks, so I tried once more using the epilator three years later I didn't have any body hairs to speak of but still epilate my body every 10 days.
As for the facial hair I was never fortunate enough to be able to afford electrolysis or laser so I got some Vaniqa. I cream in a tube that I applied to my face twice a day, I don't have any facial hair after using Vaniqa for 8 years what little I do have would take about three days before I would actually be able to feel it. My facial hair as well has thinned out considerably, not much thicker then feminine hair.

QuoteI am really beginning to consider shaving all my hair lately, because I am being forced to sit at a stand-still, and I need answers for myself. Initially, I have stopped myself from doing this because if I am correct, hair grows back faster with each shaving. So, I don't want to make a mistake and get caught in a bad position because I started shaving to early, and I still am not completely sure of my gender. Any advice? So, I thought I should be on an anti-androgen first, for the hair amount to decrease.
Hi Findingreason, I am not to certain what it is you are inquiring about. As for the hair shaving it off in the hopes of growing it back fuller and thicker, won't happen, you grow back exactly what you cut off, just have to wait for it to grow and if you don't like having a shaved head to go out in public then you will have to either wear a tuke or a baseball cap on your head for several months even up to a year, depending on how fast your hair grows.
I have heard where trimming the hair would work well is for shoulder length or longer hair anyway is what often happens you get what is called split ends so if you cut off a half inch from the ends will encourage the hairs to grow back in faster and healthier.
Using anti androgen is reasonably safe to use if you are not certain about your transitioning yet, but only for a limited amount of time.
