Oh my gosh everyone, I'm so sorry I have so many questions. I promise I'll get better.

For the guys that started later, did you always tuck mr stiffy? I just replyed to the post about
peeing standing up and I had never thought about some of these things before and what they might
say about things.

I've always tucked him away, not tightly, just down between my legs. I don't hate my penis but that is
just what felt best.

When I was pre-op, I never tucked.  But again, I was never, ummm, big down there  ;).  In a way, I guess I was lucky but it can get really awkward especially after HRT when things become considerably smaller.  *It* literally becomes invisible, so tucking is NOT necessary but urinating is very bothersome ::)

Please take a look at the following links:

Also, Steph, one of our administrators here, created the Stephie gaff.  Most people here are in awe at the results they obtained by wearing it.  Here is the link on how to make it:

Good luck Amanda! :)

lol...I'm surprised this subject hasn't come up (or risen) on the forum before......

I wear very tight clothes and from time to time I have worried it might show.......but the tucking method is really painful and I'm probably luckier than most as it's so tiny.........

It has its just been awhile.
I think we all have our methods.  I really do not talk about it because honestly its no big deal.  Especially once on HRT.

It can shrink on HRT, I know it has shurk down there so it makes it easier. However, from time to time I wear tighter clothes and need to make everything look better -- people don't really notice if I don't do this, but I notice, so I do it.

Anyway, this way is super easy and doesn't hurt. Get some panties (not a thong) that are small. Bikini cut are fine. Cotton is good, as well. Next, you grab a regular sized feminine pad (ie, Always ultra thin regular pads). Stick that in the underwear. Bring the thing down between your legs (hint, sit down or half sit, gravity helps. While doing this just pull your underwear tight and you can also use your hand under the underwear to push things up as well, and it should all go into place). The pad will make things smooth, keep things in better, and also absorb  any sweat that could come from everything being squished together and hot, etc. It looks normal, even if you're just in your underwear. You get used to it really quickly.

I know of a couple of people who use two pairs of underwear (uncomfortable) or that use granny underwear or some kind of shaper underwear. I find all of that uncomfortable and not as fast and convenient. You can just go to Wally-world (Walmart) and get normal underwear or even use it with Victoria secret panties. It can work with thongs, although I find them uncomfortable and the pads can be too big for them (but you can use pads designed for thongs -- they exist). Regular are the best, since they seem to be the right size... you don't want too small (usually lights) and not too big (usually heavy). Regular seems to be good enough, not too bulky but but enough padding to keep things in nice all day.

Pads with wings are up to you, they can help it hold better, but you don't "need" them. And also, when/if down there shrinks enough, you may not need to do this when you're wearing something looser. But, if you want to wear tighter pants, etc, it works well.

Anyway, this is my two cents. I figured this out after trying a bunch of methods and this seems to be the best one for me. Some methods work better for other ppl.

Another things about the half-sitting stuff... I find it works better and faster. I accidently discovered it while using the washroom. I was on my way to standing up but at the sametime pulling up my underwear and the combo of gravity and positioned made it way easier with no fuss and things went back and in and stayed that way. And, if you ever feel the need to adjust, just go to the washroom and it's easy as that. It takes the fuss away and I don't wanna deal with sticking my hands down there trying to figure where to put what where, and so on.

Mr.....stiffy??..........LOL....ROFL

Honey, after 2-3/4 yrs hrt, and starting 'lil to begin with, there is no.....'mr' anybody, most especially 'stiffy'.
When I look in the morning, in the shower, or the mirror, sometimes I think I'm an outtie, and sometimes (most often) an innie.  No....
no reason to tuck....I look flat as a board.  I'm sure that describes a lot of us.

Hi, Amanda,

I never had to tuck or tape anything as there was never much for me to tuck or tape.

After 5 years on HRT there isn't much left there.  Everything has atrophied, as I knew it would.  I love it when things work as they should!

I hope that this helps in some way, maybe just another peek into the potential of the future.

I found tucking it between my legs really horrible......it used to make my thingy come out in a really bad rash. If I did what you say the pad would stick to it.....

Control top pantyhose with firm control work quite well too. Often I don't need to tuck it between my legs. Tucking it between the legs can be somewhat uncomfortable, especialy there are still 2 things there that can get squished and cause you to jump suddenly when they do. :o

Thanks everyone, I'm not real big down there either and tucking has always been more comfortable. It also reduced the un-intended raising of the flag when I was younger when something aroused me.

I think I was not so much looking at how to do it but the fact that I always have (even though incorrectly) as a sign that I was clinging to my feminine side all these years.

No, actually, it takes away moisture and prevents rashes. I don't really need to use them anymore, but sometimes I do, especially when it's hot, because it sucks extra moisture away and no/little moisture prevents bacteria from growing.

My roommate thought this was a really fine idea and actually mentioned it to a couple of her male friends, since they were complaining of it getting hot down there and getting rashes, etc. I don't think took up the offer and probably thought she was crazy.

I'm not sure how the pad would stick to you, but it's just a suggestion -- no one actually has to do it. Also, non-scented is the way to go, because scented stuff can irritate you (gg's even).

I think this menthod is pretty good for ppl starting out on HRT. Because, really, some people don't wanna wait a year or more before things really get down. And for some people it takes a long time before things shrink down. It's also great if you wanna wear tighter pants, pants that are in fashion, and yoga pants.

I know a lot of TS that do not tuck, and I've seen plenty of TS girls with budges down there if they wear their pants wrong or if they are trying on the tighter jeans (which are a popular now). You can also find looser jeans that can hide things so you don't have to tuck. I run around the house in my underwear and it looks like that I don't have a thingy down there.

I just find it easier than using tape, putting on two pairs of underwear, wearing shape ware, or always having to put on panty hose (great for winter, kinda hot during the summer at times... plus, they get itchy when you sweat!)

I find that the two tumors down there don't get in the way (mine are super small), but I can see if they are big they could. Although, I'd think the padding would actually help.... since it does the trick, without making things feel super squished and the padding helps to keep things in place and not move. Also, the tumours can go inside of you. The pad would act like a pillow.

I have one friend that cannot tuck at all, because it hurts too much if she does.

But, yeah, that was just my suggestion for those who want/need to tuck for what ever reason. It's just another option along with the other options out there. It works for me when I do it, but others it might not. Others might like different methods or not to tuck at all. To each her own.

I usually wear 5+ underwear (with everything tucked of course). Am i crazy? Anyone else wear more than two? When in the safety of my home i only wear two though, since that is more comfortable :)
Actually i don't have much to tuck away. I did not have much before HRT and now it is even less. But i have always considered by lack of size as a disadvantage while tucking. You know how long hair hangs, while really short hair just stand out? It is sort of the same phenomena i think. :) Am i just imagining things or does more people think a smaller size can make tucking harder?

Well I made my stephygaff this morning tucked up my skin tag and put on my tightest jeans OMG it's like WOW....... and it would appear that not having testie hanging down there no extra mound just very flat and smooth.

Now what would be the advantage to a regular gaff?

Janet_Girl

My personal favorite is a gaff, similar to the Stephygraf, but I get them from CD sites.

I am 5 months on HRT and don't really have a problem.  I am not big, Thank the Goddess, and I can generally get a way with a pair of #5 panties.  I don't have hips so I use a padded panty.  kinda like a panty girdle but with pads in the hips and butt.  This works very well and I can wear size * jeans and not show.

I tried taping but I never felt comfortable.  I am going to talk to my doctor about an Orchie on 15th to take care of the twins.

I haven't tried a Stephygaff, but it is cheaper than the commercially made ones.  I am not a seamstress, but I might try to make one.  But then again after an Orchie I wont need much at all.

The pad method works well.

When I started, I needed two to cover everything.  As things shrunk, I went from maxi pads, to regular, to light, to panty liners.  Once i got to the panty liner stage, i could even go to the beach in a one-piece swimsuit, tucked and without worry.

One other thing I did: once a pair of hose (I wear sheer energy) was snagged, I cut the leggs off, leaving the control top.  Using several control top tops, at least 3, I could then use a single pair of panties and pad just fine, tightly controlling the shape of my front without being uncomfortable.

For hips, i took a pair of boy-short style panties and sewed some tear-drop shaped shouler pads (available at any sewing store) to the leg portion at the postition i wanted my "hips", and under a pair of hose they looked quite real.

Just my 2 cents...
