Hi, I'm James. I'm at the very beginning my F2M journey, and I'm hoping I'll find friends and advice here.
I'm doing this late in life (I'm 44!), and am lucky to have the support of my (straight!) husband, who's promised to stay with me, and who loves me regardless of my gender.  I doubt I'll find much local support otherwise, as I live in small-town Mississippi!

Wow, thanks everyone! It's nice to have so much support. This forum seems very active, and I'm looking forward to getting to know y'all.
I'm feeling pretty stoked right now! I JUST told my Mom and she's okay with my plans. Whew, that's a huge relief! I knew she'd still love me, but I didn't expect the level of acceptance she showed. I've know I've been amazingly fortunate, that the two people I care about the most still love and support me, no matter what.

You're lucky--my partner is very cool but isn't fully on board yet. Does your partner worry about being perceived as gay? That appears to be a major hangup for my guy.
