Josie

Hi all, I just wanted to say hello for now and I'll be reading and talking more later. I have fantasizes about crossdressing for many years, but only really tried it a few months ago and I'm having a great time so far. I am glad to have found a place to talk with others like myself and look farward to exploring the site and meeting others. I will be reading more as I get time, but I'm curious as to why others like crossdressing. As for myself, I don't really havwe any identity issues (or at least I don't feal like I do) for me it's just fun and exciting. But on the other hand, maybe I haven't explored my inner self enough to know what I'm talking about.
  Anyway, have a great day.

Hello Josie.

Welcome to Susan's.  Take your time to explore the site, and read away, as there is lots to read about.  As far as why do cross-dressers like cross-dressing, well I leave that for the cross-dressers to discuss :)  But doing it because it's fun and exciting is just as good a reason as any.  So relax and enjoy your stay, meet the members in the Chat area, post your questions, answers or advice here in the Forums, check out the huge Links section, and of course read through our Wiki.

Chat later.

Welcome, Josie.

It may be fun and exciting, but I'd recommend you find a support group and other CDs you can go out with.  Not a good idea to be out late at night on your own, assuming you're into clubbing as opposed to mall walking.

Why did I like crossdressing?  Actually, I hated it because, at age 61, it cost me my wife of 24 years, who tried to kill me when I admitted I liked to wear women's clothing.

It didn't take me too long from there to realize it wasn't the clothes.  Unlike CDs, who just like to visit the other gender, I needed to BE the other gender.

So here I am, 6 years postop and happily married again, with a difference.  I have an FTM husband.

Welcome to the slippery slope.  <grins>

Welcome Josie.

Like you I am a crossdresser.  I cannot explain why I am a crossdresser, but I find the need to express my feminine side by wearing a skirt and makeup.  I am happily married and my wife supports my crossdressing.  Some of us find that spouses are not supportive, but there are those of us who are lucky to have supportive partners.

Thanks for the support everyone. I thought that was a good idea about finding other girls to go out with. I haven't actually went out yet but I'm looking farward to it. Is there a regional section in the forums where I might find others from around New Orleans?
  thanks Josie
