Hi everyone,

http://www.usatoday.com/news/nation/2006-06-24-transgendered_x.htm

Today an article appears in the USA Today online edition, titled "Acceptance of transgendered increases".  Although the picture is not very flattering, this is the highest circulation paper in the country, now outselling the Wall Street Journal. And while I admit this is just the online edition, the article makes inportant statements about acceptance improving and discrimination against us being wrong. It talks about a new monument put up in San Francisco marking the "Compton Caferteria riot" in 1966. Considered to be the starting point of the civil rights movement for the transgendered, when a clash with police that lasted all night happened.

I consider this to be good press and a continuation of what we have seen recently along with the movie "Transamerica".

Love always,
Elizabeth
