I know it is hard to understand until you've been through it, but when the child will be yours, the product of love, the sight of a mother carrying a baby is one of the most beautiful things in the world.

No.

More like, "uuuugh why didn't I use a friggin rubber?  My life is over now."

I want kids with all my heart. Pregnancy is no picnic, but the end result would be the best thing in the world for me. Ever. To have a life grow inside you, to be so close to somebody ...

I really wanna have a baby.  :'(

And Annwyn: Let's talk again in oh, ten years' time. :P

Hehe... Annwyn as a mommy  :)

I can see that yeah. One on the hip, two running around playing in the back-yard, Annwyn all googlie-eyed and motherly as she stares at her kids ...

       Really old, decrepit geezer ... Gawd, I'm 30, not 300. :P

Me I'm 63 going on 16 and refusing to get any older, stomps foot on floor, tiny cloud of dust arises from carpet. ;D Yea I can see Anwyn taking a walk on the peer and tossing baby in the ocean and saying "Woooooops! Oh my, how clumsy of me." Just kidin. ;D Don't worry I don't believe you will get pregnant any time soon, first you need a vagina, then you need uterus and ovaries need to go with that too.

Annwyn's kids would learn how to clean & disassemble guns before they learned to walk.  :D

Most definitely not.

To have the choice and the ability... yes, but I would choose never to. Ever.

EVER!

I'm not the worlds greatest fan of children. At all. Unless they've been marinated in a light soy sauce for a couple of hours, pan-fried in a good peanut oil and served with a side salad of fresh rocket and fennel. And only then if they're not too chewy. :icon_chew: ;)

So... er... my answer is a resounding no. :P

As Margaret Thatcher said in one of her less well known speeches: "You spawn if you want to... this lady's not for spawning." ;D

Above all... remember: you are beautiful, you are valuable, and you have a shining spark of magnificence within you. Don't let anyone take that from you. Embrace who you are. <3

Nice to know she actually said that; I never thought of Maggie as a spawner!  >:-)

No mas! Too old, the youngest is almost 11 and even with the capacity, at this point, no.

I agree totally with Kristi's sentiments, Tink's, and with tekla's.

But only grand-children for me now. Thanks. Those you send to someone else when you tire of them.

The "yes, for a short while" choice is a puzzler. I cannot imagine the pain of losing a child after "a short while." I cannot imagine losing one and being quite sane again even now. Parents should, in a happy world, die before their children.

I voted for the first opinion but I am not sure. I would not like to be MTF that comes pregnant but I would like to be a cis-woman that comes pregnant.

Props to you, Emme. Harsh, maybe so, but sometimes lots we need to hear also seems very harsh when we hear it. It's just the way of things.

It hadn't occurred to me that the originator was a CD. Perhaps that man, or many men, obviously not all as one sees and reads the love and care of tekla and others for their children, making the thread may have taken a bit more lightly things that ... well ... just don't seem all that light to women. I hope, now that I realize that ... ... I hope that the originator meant well, meant some harmless smirk. But just the thought ... the possibility ... always there that my babies are gone ... forever ... while I sit in ashes pleading to join them ... it's not good thoughts ... not something I can make a joke about ... and not having carried them, at least one ... also not a joke.

We often fail to connect with one another: one's humor is another's horror ... so, it would be nice to think that the effort was merely the best one could do and nothing more than lack of realization, experience and a misunderstanding of implication was the vortex of the questions.

I feel understanding today. *sigh* and now a bit ... contemplative.   :'(

Who would want to be pregnant all the time? @_@
I'm assuming you're confused on the terms, if not forgive me. :P

Full term = the full gestation of pregnancy, 9 months. I don't think anyone would want to be pregnant all the time. :D

The horrible thing about transition is that it's all about compromises. There's a lot of stuff that we'll never get to experience like we would have if we'd been born the opposite gender.

But I digress. :P
I think they changed the poll.:P
If you do not agree to my demands... TOO LATE

Thank you.

Oh, Goddess, Vex!  I'm at work and I nearly sprayed my screen with my tea!

To be a mother and all that it entails is something I truly long for.  My child from my womb.  *sigh*  So many women cannot conceive and I am one of them.  But I love the children I have with all my heart.

I have so many blessings, I can't count them all.  This is one disappointment that I can accept.

Right now hell no. Im not good with children and they require so many sacrifices in life im definatly not willing to give up.
Beside if I ever had a kid karma would have a chance to get back at me I would have the most argumentative brat in history.

However since I acknowledge that people change ill put maybe since im still young.

I'd love to have a biological mother/child relationship, and would of course do the pregnant thing to have that, but wouldn't be looking forward to BEING pregnant for the sake of being pregnant I don't think. At least not all the nasty stuff that goes with it, although I'm guessing "going through all that" contributes to creating that particular bond.

But having never had kids, I'm really just guessing here...
