Many times when I've been alone I have done this and I wondered if anyone else has. I take some underwear and put an arm through one leg and the other arm and my head through the other and do the reverse with yet another "pair" of underwear. Then I would have a sort of "bra" and I would pack it with wadded clothes and wear a shirt over it. It was hard to get it packed the right way though, so I would put a belt on around on my stomach really tight and pull my shirt down to tighten it and help hold the wads of clothes tight to my chest. Then I had a nice set of makeshift breasts with a bra to go with it. Sometimes I wrap sheets around me to make a dress or skirt. Regardless of what I did with it, it was always too elaborate and hard to take off so I only ever got a chance to wear it when no one was home but me. I used to do that whenever I could. I guess that is totally weird... but I was wondering if anyone else did things like this, or maybe even do now. Anyone?

Really, its much easier to go out and buy a bra, but then again, I'm insight challenged.

It's what McGuiver would have done.  ;)

It does not sound so strange to me. It sounds like pure need and really highlights the depth of it.

I agree, and I still think my way is the best, a good bra is hard to find.

I feel this incredible sense of sadness about such a simple act as trying to fashion a more congruent form out of what you had available Aelita_Lynn. I'm trying to remember if I did antying similar but all I seem to remember is the dreadful secret longing.

That I will agree with, its very hard when you are not what you thought you should be, so, I'm down with that.

Whats funny is that I somehow managed to convince myself that I wasn't doing it for the reasons that I actually was. At first I pretended that I was trying to embarrass myself as punishment for something that I did. Sometimes I had trouble trying to invent at offense to "punish" myself for.

That is a dangerous game, find partners that you really, really, trust.

I used to use a towel as long hair and also made many of the "most spectacular gowns ever made by a 6 year old from a sheet." ever. :)

A dangerous game? Huh? What do mean? Partners? What on earth are you talking about tekla? ???

For goodness sakes young lady...that is a lot of work, and discomfort to accomplish fake breasts.

I have no idea how old you are, but if you are an adult you can buy locally,or catalog order, soft realistic looking and feeling fake breasts that can be put into a bra. No need to draw down a strap/belt on yourself either.

My first attempts at making breasts, was I put on my older sisters training bra, and nylon socks into it. I put my sweater back on and went to show everyone. I think I was 8 or 9.  At first they laughed, then my sister got really P.O'd.  She and my Mom told me not to do it again...I remember I liked it...what can I say?

Sex is a very serious deal for a lot of people, perhaps, for some, more serious then it ought to be, its very Dangerous territory and one ought to be very careful walking through that landscape. If you are doing it right - and I assume you are - its very explosive stuff, and your have to know how to cover yourself when it all blows up.

I wasn't talking about sex though. Are you sure you read my post right?

Come to think of it tekla... your posts often confuse me a lot. Is English your second language?
  •

tekla

Third really.  First language is mechanics and second is physics - math really, so yeah, English is third.

Ooooo.... burned.

EDIT:  I've noticed that there's always someone here at Susan's ready to read sex into things that aren't sexual. :P

Oh, and I'm happy to be just that person, but, I think there is a lot of sex in things that people forever protest "there is no sex in this."

I agree with Tekla on that! Sex is a part of our human nature, and for some (more than others) it is a very sub-conscious part of our role as humans. But, no, I don't see this as having anything to do with sex. So 1 point Aelita, one point Tekla. :D

Seriously, I haven't done this. But, when I was like 5 or 6 (maybe 7) I would sometimes take a shirt or towel and pretend I had long hair. (hey, kickback to  Eliza Beth!)  Then in my tweens I was into skirts/flowing robes. Then i surpressed it until I forgot about it for YEARS. Then It started resurfacing when I was a Sophomore in high school. Now I'm more able to "express myself" when I'm alone. I don't fashion stuff, but I do play around with my hair when I'm alone, then put it back into its normal wolly, angled mess before anyone gets home. You're not wierd, hon. :icon_mrhappy:
