So at the beginning of time, men and women were equally matched in maturity.
Then her biological clock began tick, so her body matured faster to compensate.
Because women matured faster, they became wives and mothers faster, thus the female mind accelerated to keep up.
That's why today women are light years ahead of us in maturity.

Actually, according to my spouse who is well knowledgeable on all things genetics; the male gene is dying out generationally in humans.
Eventually there won't be any males at all and there will only be females that can reproduce and fertilize themselves.

There is a desert lizard that does this:
The species has no males; they reproduce by two females rubbing together and they fertilize each other.

In labratories, humans can already do this;
one can make sperm from an egg.

perhaps the lizard method will be how we will reproduce thousands of years from now?

In answer to the original question, and with all respect to guys because some of them are really ... yummy and considerate and caring, I think the female mindset is just more flexible and able to adapt to different circumstances. Guys tend to oppose, girls tend to redirect, to absorb. It's that whole willow tree vs. rock deal: The rock can withstand things more solidly, but it has a definite breaking point. The willow's branches can bend and move out of the way and absorb huge amounts of strain, and potentially stay standing long after the rock has crumbled to dust.

Lovely except said adaptation is to be twisted and gnarly.

It has a lot to do with what we eat; being over-fed is one reason - another is the increased amounts of hormones and hormone mimicking chemicals in food and our environment. Have a look at the effect of fertilizers and chemical effluent on fish - the research is quite fascinating.

Well, there is a species of lizard that no longer has males - the females reproduce by pretending to mate with each other, then laying eggs (which are clones of the mother).
