What makes a good female name for a crossdresser?  I don't know if I like Stacy.  How do you pick?  Any ideas, i would love to hear them.  Thanks

What names do you like?  My name is the feminine form of my middle name.  I do not particularly like the feminine form of my given name, but I do like it as a male name.  One way of picking a name is to choose the name of some woman whom you admire or have as a role model.

I have never particularly liked the "trampy" kinds of names that some CD's pick.  I think it presents a demeaning view of women.  I think a good name for a CD is just the same as a good name for any woman.  If you had a daughter what would you name her?

My name is shortened from Genevieve. I've always liked the name so I chose it. When I dscovered that there were other girls with it, I created Gennee (pronounced Jenny).

The choice is really all up to you.  My femme name came from an endearing incident that occurred in my past.  Some girls pick the name of a celebrity they might resemble.  Other girls use a name they like the sound of.  Personally I like Sara.  The really cool thing is that you can try on a name for a while and if you decide you don't like it you can change.  I know girls that have changed their femme names several times.

For me, I think the sound of the name is important and I like to choose two femme names that go together, a first and middle name.  I used to go by Heather Michelle because I liked the feminine sound of it.  I now use the name Dawn Alicia because I like the feminine sound and because it is the name of a woman I admire both in terms of her looks and of the way she dresses.  She wears girl clothes very well, has great legs, and looks very sexy in pantyhose!

Louise hit the nail on the head. I always loathed the trampy names, but really if it makes you happy then the opinions of the world won't matter.

Personally I always try to veer away from names that have a phonetic male equivalent. I love the name Dawn but it could easily be read as Don and I hate the idea of anything that would ruin the illusion. (no disrespect meant to you DawnAlicia)

I choose the name of a beautiful young lady I knew and respected. For many years I thought of my fem self as Jennifer. In trying to bring the male named Jeff and the female Jennifer both very real and distinct together to make a whole I choose Jody. That was about five years ago. I am in the process of trying to get letters written for HRT. As I was lying in bed last week the name Elisabeth just hit me as a middle name. The gender Therapist was waiting for me to give her my full name both male and female. Without thinking about it I sent her Jody Elisabeth New***. My new initials are JEN. Just thought it was interesting.

I was looking up the meaning of another name on a website when I saw Linda, and it struck me as fitting. I choose it because it's linked to my heritage, it's age appropriate, and it's pretty, plain and simple.   

I googled what I'd like my first and last name to be, using different last names. Seems every pair I put together had a face to it, already. No bother. I like alliterations, so I think I'll go with Linda Larsen. Linda Lacey sounds sweet, but it might have that "trampy" effect mentioned earlier.

I choose Kourtney. I remember back as a kid i meet a girl online that i got a little bit of a crush on and her name was Kourtney. I loved the name and even tho her and i have since lost contact i keep it. When i found Susans i had found a suggestion to talk using a female name and that was instantly to my mind so i use it.

When you get out and about FT what do want called across the street?
In my case Cindy, has no problem. Big boobs, Honey box. James Bond girls no.

If you see yourself as Pussy Galore - go for it. But it may be difficult getting a new credit card

After "trying out'' several names over the years I finally decided on Tori Lynn because I could go by the name Tori or Lynn while dressed as a male and still be able to keep my feminine identity even if it is somewhat hidden, and if going by this name raise's eyebrow's so-what.....it's who I really am inside   

I chose the name of my first "crush."

Ive used "bethany" for a while but recently Im thinking about changing it to "Stephanie"

  Anastasia came to me one night about 10 years ago. I was surfing on the web, late at night (like now  ) and went to sign up for a password for a web site. I "dozed off" waiting for the pages to load (this was when 22 k modems were cutting edge). When I woke up I had filled out all the forms with the name Anastasia Lynne. I liked the name and it has been me ever since.

    After our second daughter was born 14 months ago, I was talking to my mom about names. She asked me what boy name we had picked. My wife and I agreed on Sarah, but I wouldn't seriously discuss a boys name because I had dreams of a talkative girl, so there wasn't much point in picking a boys name. So I asked Mom what girls name had been picked out for me had I been born a girl. It was Anastasia Lynne. That's when I knew I had the right name. I couldn't tell my Mom about Anastasia, but I has tickled.
