Known enough motorcyclists who've half killed themselves (or are deceased) without the intervention of any other vehicle ... its not a pretty picture.

On urban roads if you can't stop or avoid before you see someone pulling out from a side-road you're going too fast ?

Toni,

You're teasing us ... you look gorgeous and I can't see no swelling !

Laura x

This picture is a bit less flattering:

The left side of my cheek is still swollen a good 1/4th to 1/2 an inch, depending on the day, and hurts a ton.

Ribs are fine, knee is as well.

Yeah ...

You can just see some teeny swelling, and hurting goes away (we've all been "in the wars" some time or other).

Just think you're using this as an excuse to post pretty pics of yourself ...  ;D ...

No lasting damage this time but PLEASE take care !

Well first off, when you're on a motorcycle there's always room to escape into, and all it takes is being aware of your surroundings.  It's pretty hard to doze off on one, or talk on your cell phone, or get road head, or any of the many number of distractions other drivers have.  Getting to and from where you wanna be and knowing how to do it before you're there, and some other techniques help.

Always driving BEHIND or IN FRONT of other cars, never in their potential blind spot, and making sure your pipes are load enough to let everyone know you're there...

But I wouldn't freak out.  The way I've been living the past month since i went fulltime has been careless and reckless in many ways.  While I've accepted and met more responsibility than I have for a while and done it WELL, so far I've been clubbing and going to bars and dating guys who have no clue about me even just for one night.  I've gotten date raped once, not to mention about a month an a half ago when it happened.  I've got more stalkers than I can count on one hand, probably because I went and put my pictures and profile up on a few TS dating sites.
But I can't stop.  I'm loving life so much right now and I'm not letting ANYTHING get me down or stop me.
I've told several friends this already but, I doubt I've got much longer to live because I just can't stop doing what I'm doing.  I'd rather live well a few more months than go back to not living at all like I was.

So if something WERE to happen, I'd go out knowing that I didn't have a single regret.

Toni / Annwyn, thought you were "full time" a lot longer than a month or so, but all I can say is go for it but be careful.

Pulling guys is fun but can be dangerous ... even as post-op you know there's a risk in one night stands.

Just that risks can be overstated and we have lives to live.

But stalkers are not good ... be really careful about who you open up to.

(P.S. if you are Annwyn, no big deal, I liked you, just hope you take care not to upset so many folks with your quick tounge !)
