My son tells me that he plays Netball in the army,  yet it appears this is "Combat Netball" ?   so I am wondering

Well I dont place gender in sport. In sport everyone should be equal. Don't matter if female or male. If in male team or female time. In sport we all have one goal that is to win and have fun doing it.
Never heard of netball. Well always come up with some new game anyway. I been through war game dont they they would call netball as a combat game.

Born, netball is a "female" version (I think) of basketball.  It has a big following in Australia & New Zealand, and the South Pacific, dunno about other countries.  But having said that the Australian Womens basketball team "The Opals" is the best in the world. Netball & Basketball are similar but essentially different.

As far as gender in sport, I disagree, women do not have the sheer strength and maybe the savagery that is essential in many (especially team) sports.

In truth I could not see my son and his army mates playing Netball - he may have been having me on, or, maybe they have sort of spiced up the game to call it Combat Netball :)

I dont know.. women may not have the strength for it. but that doesnt mean anything. women are creative im sure they can do it their own way.
lol man pull water out of the well and im sure woman would create pulley to do the same thing. Just think people who may not be strong sure can do things just the same as people who are.

Lets stay on topic folks...

May be someone should start a new topic on lets say... hmmmm... something to do with the following:

Quote"As far as gender in sport, I disagree, women do not have the sheer strength and maybe the savagery that is essential in many (especially team) sports."
