After my top surgery I am thinking about getting my nipple pierced on my left side.. As I have always wanted it done, and I would never go through with it because of my chest state!

I just wondered how painful it would be? I am having the double incision. As I have big lumps. And they said that I might not be able to feel any sensation after..

My friend Paul he had to have liposuction when he was younger because he was getting gyno and they cut around his nipple and he didn't have any sensation in the nipple at all until he actually got it pierced.. he says it sensitive but not as sensitive as his other one.

Also I am looking to get a tattoo on my chest once the surgery is completed so peoples attentions are differed to the tattoo when looking at me.. not just seeing the scars! Plus I really like it..

Just wanting to know again what sort of feeling you had there when you had the surgery!
Just looking for advice!

It comes back very slowly. I think it took 3 years to get most of it back. I'm pretty sure I have no numb spots left now, and it's been 3 1/2 years. But  you will probably have a huge numb patch for a long time after surgery. Pretty well everywhere above the incision lines was numb for me.

Thanks for your reply Dennis, were your nipples exactly the same?

I'm mostly numb above the incisions like Dennis said, but weird thing is I have sensation in both nipples and the area immediately around them.

Mister

I have complete sensation.  Despite nipple grafts, i've retained about 85% of my sensitivity.
