From what I've heard, the hands (bones) don't actually grow, but they do tend to lose their soft feminine look. I think more prominent veins and hair growth on the sides of hands by the wrist would contribute to this. If you want to make your hands & wrists slightly more masculine pre-T, I would recommend taking up weight lifting. I've been weight-lifting for 4 years and my hands do look less soft. There are now visible veins on the back of my hand where there were none before. Tendons stick out when I move my fingers, which I never had before, either--however, I lost a fair bit of fat so this could be why the 'inner workings' of my hands are more visible now. Forearm exercises have made my forearms somewhat thicker-looking. I really don't recall if the forearm exercises made my wrists look all that different, though. They're 6.25" in circumference now, but I don't recall measuring them before starting lifting. The difference probably isn't going to be dramatic, but if it makes you feel better about yourself it's worth it.
