I know some time has passed and my father was a huge fan of your site. I think she did alot of topic discussion on your forums and I know she made alot of friends thru here. As it pains me to notify your staff she is no longer with us. Unfortunately my father (mtf) Terri Gene passed away May 31 2007. I'm not sure what staff or what visitors know him. I can give details if anyone has any questions and I can post if you would like me to. I just don't know where. I don't want those who knew her on here to think he just gave up on his quest of life change because she held that dear to her heart to the end. (Please forgive the reference of my father because Terri was and always will be in my mind my dad even though I still refer to genderwise as female) I know this letter is late in comming and I apologize for that but I have had my own issues to deal with this in both my parrents passing. If you have questions please let me know..

Thank you
Catherine

If you wish to post your condolences here I am sure her daughter will see it and appreciate it. For those who didn't know her you can Read some of her posts

Don't pm or email that account because it only goes to me. I had to assign her messages to one of my dummy accounts to recover them so the wiki-staff can review them.

If the wiki staff would add her to our memorial page and see if you can dig up some of her quotes for it as well...

I met Terri-Gene when I was in SF for chest surgery, before her last stroke. She had had one stroke and was valiantly recovering from it. We spent the day together, which exhausted me cause I was just out of surgery, but I was happy to spend time with her.

I was just thinking about her the other day and wondering if she was ok. My condolences to the surviving family. You, her children, probably know that you were the light of her life, but if you don't, I'm telling you you were. She talked about how proud she was of you and that she wouldn't have transitioned earlier if it meant not having you in her life.

A titan of generosity and kindness hits the ground; the earth shakes so that even the most ignorant of creatures knows something of importance has impacted their lives...

Later, Terri Gene.

I thought she was another Terri I know but I don't believe I never had the pleasure to meet Terri Gene, but I still wish to say, may God bless.

...I didn't see Terri again after Andrea died.   I'd heard she'd gone to live with one of her daughters, and they'd moved back to Fallon...

She suffered not just the second stroke, but a third, more massive one 5 or 6 days later while in the hospital for the second one.

Yet she got the precious gift of extra time on this earth

I was very saddened when I heard that Teri Gene passed on.  She was one of the regular posters when I first came here and was a true inspiration for me.  Reading what she had been through in getting to be her true self made me realize how good I had it.  Her strength and determination provided a wonderful example of how the difficulties are worth being able to be true to one's self.

One day, I found out by accident that Terri had also been a patient of Dr. Robin D. in Redwood City (my therapist).  This became the main reason why Terri and I started exchanging PM's. She was quite fond of Dr. D. and asked me to say hi to her several times which I did.

*sigh* I am very sorry to hear that Terri is no longer with us.  My heart goes out to you and the rest of your family, Catherine.  Please accept my deepest condolences, and if you don't mind, I would like to inform Dr. D. of Terri's passing.

Unfortunately her profile picture is no longer there. Maybe Susan or other here may have one.  I checked through all my pictures and i don't seem to have one either.

Here is the topic where Leigh announced that Terri was promoted to a Mod on the forums:

It's a shame she's gone.  I wish she could have had an easier time when she was with us.
