I have just watched control, about Ian Curtis. Now I am fond of Joy Division (if that's what you could say), Transmission is a favourite of mine and She's Lost Control...But the film really revealed how much puff has been built around it all. Ian Curtis is not the demi-god people portray him as.

He committed suicide when he was my age now. If I did that, do you think they'd publish my book? It worked for 'Confederacy of Dunces'.

Definitely Beyonce... echo the "Single Ladies" remark. Hmmm... Renee Zellweger, Tom Cruise, Cameron Diaz... and the latter two are in one of my absolute favorite movies, so I find that hilarious.

For some reason, no matter how well Tom Cruise acts, I can't see him as his character. I always see him as Tom Cruise. So when I watch him in any movie, say, Valkyrie, instead of enjoying it, my mind is constantly thinking... "Tom Cruise, what are you doing in German dressed as a nazi?"
