What would androgyne ghettos look like, on our androgyne islands and within the androgyne cities?

Bright and colorful characters standing in well lit corners or alleys playing jacks and passing around pez? I love pez.

Hotdog sellers would be selling hotdogs and fruit cake and fish. Broken fences and building sides would be covered in peace grafitti, flowers, animals and unicorns. People would sit on their porches on old bean bags drinking tea from chipped china cups, or giant plastic mugs with curly straws. People would be either ambling about or trotting in all sorts of directions. Flowers would grow from cracks in the pavement. Homeless andro's would frolic in the fountains.

Any large open area would look like a scene from Asterix with everyone sitting around a massive bonfire eating roast boar,

What it your vision for the androgyne ghettos?

lots of shadey alleyways with bunting that open into sunny squares with  buskers and music around every corner.

hmm.  I think it'd be colorful, warm, and there would be lots of dancing.  I just feel like we are a dancing people.  :icon_bumdance-nerd:

Z doesn't wish to live in an androgyne ghetto. Z wants to live openly in a world that accepts and honors all genders and diversity. That said, it would be nice if we didn't all live so far away. It would be awesome to meet.

The word "ghetto" could be reclaimed, much in the way the word "witch" was reclaimed by Neo-Pagans. In that regard, it would be a location where the subculture thrived. It's ideal components to me would include:

* acceptance/inclusion and all-around equality
* lots of color, art, and music
* unisex restrooms
* cafes everywhere (and nary a Starbucks and/or Peets to be found)
* androgynous boutiques

I don't know.  People in ghettos are in ghettos because of poverty and other factors.  Hopefully it'd be a peaceful scene.  But being in a ghetto means that the inhabitants would be abused and taken advantage of by the non ghetto people.

There'd probably be a lot of prostitution, and with my looks, I'd be starved dead in a week.

Androgyne funereal parlors?

I see this thread is starting to take a dark turn.

Suddenly it doesn't seem so alien anymore.

Oh.

Maybe the big parties in the ghettos would be raves.  Flashing lights, dancing, lots of fluids (heh), and nobody worried over getting up in the morning for work.

Ghetto Fabulous, bring it on! ;D

It sounds kind of bland, but I'm going to have to back-up Zythyra.  I'd just kind of like to see everyone integrated into one goofy family.

As someone who works in one of the worst neighborhoods in the US, I'd prefer the other side of the tracks myself.
