Breast Pain

So, I have been on hormones for three months.  My breasts have been tender for like two months, but today my left boob started to hurt.  Out of nowhere, I was sitting on the couch next to some friends hanging out, and it was a rather unpleasant pain.

Now, I understand that they are supposed to hurt, but what is normal?

It is not a constant pain, but rather it comes and goes.  Like after 5 or 10 minutes it was gone, and I felt fine for a couple hours.  Then, I was up a few minutes ago making an early breakfast (super late dinner?) and it was like BAM right while I was cooking.

Any thoughts?

I get that at 14 months. I figure that it was normal.

I've been on HRT for 18 months. After about 12 months my breasts got awfully tender, if I bump into anything accidentally it is so tender that I cry out involuntarily. My boobs are still only minute but there is hard tissue behind each nipple which hurts if it is pressed. I'm not too sure how long the tenderness is supposed to go on for, or if it's permanent even, so I'll be interested to see what other replies you get.

Ok, I just wanted to make sure my boobs are normal!

Just curious what others "pain" feels like?

my pain is like yours- it seems to wax and wane at different times. Sometimes they actually ache out loud and other times not quite so much, but the tenderness and soreness never go away completely (on HRT for 3 months now). I am assuming it is cycles of growth, just the same as childrens' "growing pains" or what cisgirls experience at puberty. I do notice the areolas seem to grow a little during those times when they are especially tender. The slightest bump will cause me to yelp! lol

Yeah, it's weird.  I'll be fine one second, and then all of a sudden, BAM!, like you've been stung by a wasp or something.  It has become much more rare a sensation as time has passed, though (it's been a little over two years HRT for me).

OH WOW, that wasp reference is right on.  It's so strange.  Oh the joys.

Did your legs hurt when you grew from a child to a teen and then an adult? Similar idea, but it's your boobs that want to grow now

They did, but I don't remember what it felt like.  I just wanted to make sure that everything was OK.

Doing a Chi massage tends to help. I know, why irritate them further? It helps round them out a bit and actually relieves allot of the tenderness  If you'd like to know more about that you can PM me

OK, I've gotten a few PMs regarding the breast massage so I will try to describe as best as possible...

Get some body lotion. I tend to like one that contains vitamin E and has a pump on top.
Pump one pump each on top of each breast and work it around some.

Place right hand/right breast left hand/left breast and spread your fingers out like a fan.
Press firmly but not to hard like you would to massage a soar muscle.
Massage in a circular motion right breast/clockwise, left breast/counter clockwise.
Do you feel the receptors above and below the nipple? They are what you want to target most.

I hope that helps. Work's for me anyway

Thanks Virginia  :) I sometimes use a heating pad on them as well.. not sure if it really works or if it's just psychological but it seems to help some.

Mine hurt, then itch like mad. Like I need to pull over and scratch.

When they get sore..be careful. If you bump something into them or bump into something, being sore has nothing on what that will feel like.

A heating pad is a great idea. But, I don't like laying down while awake. (Virginia can't hold still that long...busy monkey ) I use a microwaveable neck warmer that I put in an over sized bra. Feels pretty good and I get an idea what I would look like with a boob job

Sometimes they itch like mad, and other times they just ache.  Massaging them in the tub seems to help for me.

:o OMG OMG OMG!!!!!!!!!!!  :o

You weren't kidding.  I was putting my daughter to bed tonight and bumped the bed frame.  OWIE!!!!

Thank you for posting the massage technique up Virginia.  I saw the same technique described in the "flat to fem" program.  I wasn't sure if it would actually work though.  It's nice to hear that it helps.  Again thank you

About 4 months into HRT, I discovered why HS girls carry their books in front of them.  It is a simple word, "Protection".

Autumn

Finasteride for a year, then avodart for a year, now avodart + spiro for a 2-3 months.

About a month ago they started hurting on and off and now it's a pretty frequent thing. Both my mother and my girlfriend have told me to stop poking on them. They hurt without me touching them, damnit, I'm trying to massage them!

Me to mom: They _____ hurt
Mom to me: Breasts are like your balls

Okay mom.

But right before the regular pains started, I caught an elbow directly in the tit at a bar, and holy god it hurt for like 3 hours, then again the next morning. I told a friend of mine that I wanted a steel bra ><

I'm really excited about the prospect of adding estrogen.

I discovered accidentally that Vitamin B complex helped with breast pain when I have PMS. I don't know if it would help during growth, but it might. I was taking it because it's supposed to help with nerve pain (most specifically the B6), but I found it relieved my breast pain as well.
