Hi everyone! I have a few questions about BA as this is something I am considering in the near future (I'm not rushing anything with the period of time I've been on hormones or anything, I'm mostly just generally curious tbh)

For anyone that has had BA:
Did you have round or anatomical shaped implants?
Was the placement under the muscle or above?

I'm just wondering what really achieves the most natural appearance. After a bit of research I'm pretty sure it differs for most people, but surely a few more factors go into deciding for us? Ive heard that under the muscle looks more natural but feels firmer? But I mean they can't appear that natural if they are held firm in place and don't move? Can you tell I'm really naive about all this? haha! Any experience shared would be ever so grateful

Actually, your assumptions are quite accurate.

My BA used round style saline implants, not teardrop (anatomical) shaped.  In discussion with my surgeon he recommended them to enhance my overall profile given the size and shape of my thorax.

They were placed under the muscle and remain quite firm but I do appreciate my overall profile when clothed because it does look quite natural.  Their movement feels natural to me, once the tissue stretched properly.  That took about six to eight months.  Up to that point I was discouraged because they were so firm and unmovable that it felt like I was wearing the foam breast forms I had used up to that point.  The doctor (Zukowski) was quite understanding and explained everything and told me what to expect.

But to this day, I can flex my pectoral muscles and make my boobs jiggle.    My partner always gets a giggle out of it when I do that.  I should get a set of tassels and see if I could get them twirling.

Thank you for your reply! I have heard that the twitching thing can happen with under the muscle implants! My overall concern is that under the muscle implants will not move as freely as natural breasts. Do you feel very natural overall chest wise if you don't mind me asking? I just have this major complex that it has to look completely natural, and if theyre stuck in place or there is clear implants outlines forever then I wouldnt be too happy haha! As you mentioned im sure surgeons will guide me through what decisions would be most beneficial for me! Thanks again!

No, dear.  Once the tissue stretches, which can take some months, the movements are quite natural.  They feel quite natural to me.  And I do need a bra to keep the girls from swinging too freely when I walk.  There's an old joke or reminder for girls not to lie on their backs with your boyfriend because your breasts end up in your armpits and you look flat chested.  It's true... 

And there are no implant outlines whatsoever.  They look quite natural.  I regularly use the locker room at the fitness center and no one looks twice at me.  Nothing out of the ordinary.  I look just like the rest of the girls.

The only outlines I am particularly sensitive to are my nipples.  They do have a tendency to protrude so I will often wear a shirt or cover up over my top so that my "high beams" don't embarrass me.  That is a function of the way my body transitioned through my second puberty and not anything to do with the implants.

Ditto what sandy said.  I have silicone gel implants, installed under the muscle.  I had talked to my surgeon about above or below and she said that below for MtF gave the best appearance etc.  After 6-8 months they look and move like they have always been there.  I've been very pleased with the results.

Threads like this just make me sigh, lol. Seems so far away.

I had round medium profile 616cc silicon gel implants placed above the muscle just 3.5 weeks ago. The operation itself caused very little pain. I never used any pain meds at all. At first, they were tight and looked odd - just stuck on there. But within 3 days the swelling was going down and they were already moving more towards the front of my body. Now, at 3 weeks, they look great. Yes, they have a long way to go to drop properly, etc., but already they are fairly jiggly, and look outstanding, both clothed and naked.
