You are 4, maybe 5 years old. You find yourself sneaking into your
mom's room and rummaging through her drawers. You know what you are
looking for. You don't really know why, you just know you want it.
Your heart is racing. You find it. You touch it. You put it on. It
feels nice against your skin. It's soft, silky, comforting. It smells
good. It just feels good.

I'd thought that transvestism and cross-dressing were different things. Unless I misunderstand this article, it seems that the author is making them equal to one another.

I never thought that marriage and fatherhood would make me more masculine, or that it would "cure" me. But then, I didn't really think I was a cross-dresser when I got marrired, 20+ years ago.

My wife in no way reacted with "revulsion and rejection," and has instead been quite supportive. Maybe I've just been lucky.

I don't think I need to seek counselling to understand why I cross-dress. I cross-dress because it just seems to be the natural thing for me to do.
