Everything just seems to be going right for me lately, it's amazing!

Earlier in the week, I scheduled to meet with my RD from college (Resident Director). She's here helping out with orientations and I told her that I'm trans. Of all the responses I expected, calm appraisal certainly wasn't one of them!

Well I don't know if I made a friend or not, but it certainly does feel good to tell someone and be completely comfortable talking about it.

It just seems logical, you know? I'm gonna transition and soon I'll look different, I'll act different and all the people who know me will see a change. I think it's better to let them all know up front before the changes happen so they won't be surprised...and hopefully, they'll all be more accepting of it since I gave them fair warning and time to process it internally.

Good Girl
I think that's great. Sorry to sound like Mom, but I old enough to be that. Happy to be another Mom :-*

Good for you, Kara.  I agree completely (although I'm not sure you will act a lot differently ;)).  I found it best to keep your friends and family informed and, if they are willing, along for the ride.  Open, direct, honest communication makes this difficult process a lot easier.

It sounds like you are on your way.  Wonderful!  Have fun with it. ;D

Well I came out to someone else today. I was a little nervous for about two minutes and then I just decided to do it and once it was done, I felt so much better!

I'm almost starting to feel like I could tell anyone.
