Voice dropping within female range first?

Hey guys, my voice seems to be getting lower, but still well within female sounding range. My voice wasn't extremely high, but now seems slowly descending the ladder of female range. Anybody's do this, or did it just change all at once?

That's EXACTLY what mine did Nero.  Don't worry.  I'm finally starting to sound like a boy.  :D  You'll get there.

mine sunk like an anvil in water after 2 weeks and a couple days, but i was abnormal.  dont worry nero, everyone is mistaken for their sister on the phone for a little while (figuratively of course) you'll soon be mistaken for your dad. :)

Guys I have known have had a variety of experiences.  Mine dropped low pretty quickly, so, different from you.  But my inflections and manner of speaking were fairly female, and still, sometimes, even with the low voice, AND THE NAME JOSEPH, I am ma'amed on the phone.  I take this to mean it's about HOW i talk, both the content, and the more sing songy way that I think I talk, compared to men.  For awhile I tried to copy men in a flattened vocal pattern, and I felt inauthentic.  So, I am myself, and sometimes tell the customer service people.  I am a man.

Usually saying:  I am Joseph.  I am a man.  helps, but not always.  At those times, I use it as spiritual practice in staying calm and not caring what others think wrongly about me.

Best to you.
Joseph

Yeah mine's doing the same thing. I was getting a lil worried cos I've been on T about 2.5 months and it hadn't dropped much which seems late compared to a lot of other guys. I had a couple people tell me that it was getting lower, but I could tell it was still female sounding. But just in the past few days I think it's dropped more, I had a bunch of people commenting on it last night, even people that had seen me within a couple days said they noticed it. It's still not super deep, but it's getting there.

Sometimes I'm a lil jealous of people whose voices dropped really quick, but this stage is kinda funny. Whenever I'm singing (which is all the time lol, I love to sing) my voice will keep cracking and such, which is actually pretty fun cos everyone around me thinks it's hilarious

My voice is dropping rather slowly, it cracks all the time. Since it's the first thing I wanted to happen it is taking it's darn time, and since I did not really want extra hair that is coming quickly! Can't always get what you want I guess.

Exactly the same here.  The voice is taking its own sweet time, but I'm rapidly turning into a hairy monkey.  The weird thing is, my voice seems to be going back and forth.  I never know when I open my mouth if my old voice is going to come out, or my inner 14-year-old boy.  :-\

This was my voice within the first two months on T.

Considering the dose I was on at the time, I think I progressed pretty quickly. It's much deeper now, (at a bit over seven months) and it seems to have settled to where it's going to be, though it does still crack every now and then. It's weird how sometimes I'll sneeze or laugh or make some high-pitched noise that sounds just like my old voice. But, even though my voice dropped relatively quickly the T has been very unkind to me in other ways...

It makes sense that, if one was starting with a voice in the higher female ranges, one's voice would have to first drop through the lower female ranges before becoming decidedly male.  Mine did the same thing--it slowly dropped in the female range for the first 6-7 weeks, and by the 7th week my friends were commenting on my voice and I was getting 'sirred' on the phone.  I didn't detect a sharp drop all at once (*eyes Josh*); it just kinda... slid on down.  No big drops, not much voice cracking (unless I've been drinking, apparently), it just continues to slowly slide down.

How has it been unkind?

While it is entirely possible that your enemy entertains some irrational prejudice against you, for which you bear no responsibility... have you entertained the possibility that you are wrong?

Stalking your forums! :O
What do you mean when you say your voice "cracks"?
I never had it in my terrible evil mis-guided puberty which will be soooooo canceled :D

it is low, then cracks to a higher pitch really fast and awkwardly.  think of screech on saved by the bell.  lol

I'm not on T (Yet  :'( ) But I've been training, at least attempting to train my voice to appear lower than it actually naturaly is, without sounding like it's put on and fake (which no one wants). So it's deffently possible for you to start training yourself too (without professional help) to lower yours and that would (possibly) speeden up the dropping rate.  8)
