nothing would/could ever make me want to watch that movie whether I was trans or not.

mostly because I like happy stories and mysteries... Whats the point in watching something depressing?  never understood it myself

now under some unfortunate circumstances I have seen bits and pieces of this movie (my ex was watching it while I was working on hw/playing video games) which just lead me even more so to never want to watch it.
I solemnly swear I am up to no good.

Well it is worth watching for one reason, the beyond awesome performance by Hilary Swank, in the kind of role rarely written for female actors to play.  There is a reason she won the Oscar.  Just remember, Hollywood never let the facts get in the way of the movie they want to make.
FIGHT APATHY!, or don't...

I just got done reading the book wrote about Brando Teena. It was a very intense book to read. I guess now I am going to have to watch the movie. Not sure that I want to after reading the book. Anyone know if it portrays the book or is a lot left out. I know its a true story but of course everytime it is told it is going to change. The book kinda scared me. I fear that happening to me or one of my friends. So i guess what we should take from this story is to not do what he did with the lies. But i still do not believe he deserved to be raped or murdered.

I believe I read All She wanted.

I read that circa 2001 or so.  The author managed to ->-bleeped-<- everything up in that book.

you know how to not end up like brandon teena?

-don't be a criminal
-don't hang out w/ other criminals
-don't bang some guy's girlfriend
-change your ID
-when ->-bleeped-<- goes bad, GTFO

I always thought this simply applied to life in general.
All it really takes is some common sense.

So these things are common occurrences in average peoples' daily lives?  I'm not utterly surprised.  It seems the masses make life more complicated than necessary.
