For the past two weeks, I've been going to the gym and walking 2 miles (16 laps) every other day for a half hour every time. Today, I modified the plan a little bit by running 3 of those laps. I found that I felt good after the first lap but that my body started hurting into the second one. For now, I'm going to do one lap every so often interspersed with walking until my body gets used to it.
I'm also losing weight- I lost 8 pounds in the last two weeks...four pounds this week. I'm still not at what I like to call "girl weight"- which is rather the entire point.
My dad came down to the college and put a new battery in my car for me so I re-scheduled my appointment with the laser hair removal place about ten miles away from college. I'm going this Thursday at 1 PM, which means I'll have to work out after I'm done. I had planned to work out on the weekends for the last two Sundays, but it didn't work either time. Now, I've decided to do it every day I have class.
I'm hoping I can get the point where I can run 2 miles in that course without my body feeling like it wants to tear itself apart, but the more important goal for now is to lose weight.
I also discovered a prototype plan for eating meals during the fall. Because of my continuing dissatisfaction with the university's dining hall, I decided to take things into my own hands and make my own meals. I have a Kashi granola bar for breakfast, a dining hall meal for lunch and a PBJ or two for supper. I bought some multi-vitamins to take in the morning so I can offset what is obviously a diet lacking in vitamins. I haven't decided if I want to buy some skim milk for myself or not just yet.
All in all, I'd say things are going well. Some people (I think) would rather have HRT as soon as possible, but I'm determined to lose weight and lose my facial hair before I even start that. If I can get to a point where I can pass without hormones, so much the better.
