A human resource planner who made history four years ago by becoming the first city employee to transition openly from male to female in the workplace says she fears for her safety, feels ostracized and is looking for another job.
Camille Hopkins said she keeps a baseball bat and can of pepper spray near her desk in her office on an isolated upper floor of City Hall. She showed a copy of a derogatory hand-scrawled note left on her door last week.

Hopkins claimed fellow employees have "shouted" at her, objected to her use of restrooms and treated her with disdain.

If I was her, I wouldn't quit I would sue the pant off that City. If they didn't have a gender identity policy now they will have. That is absolutely harrassment. She doesn't have to take that and she should find a lawyer right now.

Finding a lawyer is not always that easy.  I went through 12 before I found one who would help me out.
