You mean you have big shoulders? Are they muscle or (Ahmm) adipose tissue? Fat you can diet and excercise off, muscle you need to change you excercises. I'm not much help 'cos I'm not built that way.

A few Hugs to make you feel better

Whats adipose tissue???? My shoulders are very very very muscly and im guessing they have quite big bones underneth them though  :'(

Sorry Justme,

Adipose tissue is fat, I was making a bad joke.. I'm not sure what you can do about very muscular build, HRT does decrease muscle bulk but I think there are limits. I take it you have done a far bit of weight training?  I think most of the girls in your situation go onto a lot of aerobic work and give up on the weights. Its probably worth getting some professional opinion.

Either starve yourself or carefully diet and maybe someday they'll finally go away with the help of T blockers.

muscle will break down guickly if not used or maintained my sugestion is to change exercise or begin exercise on other parts of your body to ballance the look estrogen will significanly reduce your muscle size and overal strength in the end anyway
jessica AKA the gym rat lol
P.S. dont starve yourself it will only slow your metabolism way down as your body shifts to survival mode increasing overall body fat

Hehe Im a Gym junkie to  ^-^ I think they should make some kind of different AA meetings for us  ::)

All my muscles have latlry broken donw due to not going to the gym in a while (how long can i resist??? Im not sure ) But my shoulders are still HARD AS ROCK! they just don't seem to lose muscle off them not matter how little excerise i do =(

Once i come out and get the ball rolling, get on E and other things like that i hope it will start to brake down my muscle mass. Im still young so i guess it can take a little while. (I hope not though).

I would never strave myself.... I would last about a day and then go to the shop and buy a BIG block of chocolate!!!!

Anyways thanks for all of your help rlly apricate it!

I have a similar problem. I am short (only about 5'3) and I am stocky as in I have a alot of muscle build at the top of my body... it seems more genetic then from working out though which scares me. Cause I haven't worked out consistently in a couple of months and before that for a couple of years. I hate it and I want it to go away. Hopefully hormones and certain exercise routines and dieting will help. IF it doesn't I don't know what I am going to do with myself.  :'(

Who's the picture of? it looks like a genetic female?

I think we need more realistic points of view on this topic. My shoulders are bigger than my lower body radio and it is a problem for me. I half blame my early work which was outside physical work as opposed to someone who may have worked in an office all their life.

Thats how i feel about mine, everyone says they ae feminine and im exaggerating but in my eyes they are horrid! It affects me quite a bit because its my upper half that annoys me the most then again the views change weekly, sometimes i think looks great next im all EWWW, so i dont know how to help you with it sadly, but the words of others adding up greatly helps or find a few girls with similar build helps comfort you to. Thats how i maintain the worry of it, but dont worry to much over one spot, if the rest of you is just another average girl then theres nothing to worry about everyone has a few traits they arent proud of. Sometimes accepting yourself is the only fix then later on there will eventually be a way to fix it knowing humanity hehe

My experience is that the muscle does reduce with estrogens. I jog every day and so this helps to reduce mass without affecting the uper body. It also tones the stomack, legs and bum. I would show a before transition pic of two years ago but I seem not to be able to post these. Like others have said, don't starve yourself but get a good daily intake and work out regime that suits your lifestyle.

Yeah, there's no way I would consider those broad - she's wearing a dress that shows off her shoulders and makes them appear larger, if anything.  With the straps worn that way, they draw the eye outward giving her shoulders a wider look.

If you have broad shoulders: v necks, plain/boring shoulders, anything that draws attention toward your hips or waist, etc. is what you want to wear to draw the attention away from your shoulders.  Boat necks, poofy shoulders, horizontal lines - stay away since they draw attention to or exaggerate shoulder width.  Of course, you can also just wear whatever you think looks good on you :)
