1) SRS as I am able to afford it,

2) BA as I am able to afford it,

3) FFS if I decide that I "need" it after HRT has
taken it's course and as I am able to afford it.

4) Hair removal as I am able to afford it.

Could you be mine?
Won't you be my neighbor?" - Fred Rogers

All this boob job talk has me interested. How long does it take? Can the submuscular variety be done at the same time as ffs or is that too much time asleep? Might have to look into it some more, it might be worth waiting a few extra months on the ffs and doing them both at the same time...tempting

I've chosen to have my face and maybe some body contouring done before having my...hole...dug.

:-\ you made it sound hurtful!  >:-)

Well the boobs are only like another 5 or 6k, so if the same operating room and drugs will do the trick, it seems worthwhile to wait as long as it isn't too long. I'm still thinking about it, they say to give the natural boobs a couple years, and I don't want to wait that long on the ffs so I dunno, just cackling I suppose.

But no one can see your junk.  ???

If you don't/can't tuck it away properly it can foul the lines of a lot of things.

Maybe if the junk was shrivled up and non-functional that wouldn't be the case but right now, tucking is a nightmare for me.

It's not what anyone else sees that matters, only what I see.  And what I know.  Your head can mess with you a lot when the wrong junk is attached.

In an ideal world, I would opt to do FFS, SRS and maybe body feminization surgery all done at one time. Knock it all off at once, but that can't be done, so I am looking to take it a step at a time and for me FFS feels more important. Either way, none of them will take place for quite some time (unless you give me that lottery ticket). HRT will have to come first (along with deforesting this face and body). I may find that hormones do enough to the face and body that I can see past the male markers enough to up the SRS priority. It is all a year or more away, so lots of time to think, save, plan, dream, play.

Just my meager POV,

Well I get by without FFS (thanks dad). I did srs and ba at the same time.  Over a year later I am Very glad I had the ba done too (after 16 months hrt). It does help with the overall appearance and passibility.  Overall the best money I spent.

Oh like Julie said do electro/laser first at least most of it.  FFS will be far less sucessful with a 5 oclock shaddow. :-0

In this order I had my facial hair removed, then I had FFS which was the best as I looked totally female, I then had a BA, then after a long time I finally had GRS with trach shave at the same time, had another BA with silicone implants to DD, always wanted a nice cleavage, thats it, Im finally the woman I always want to be, a 12year journey, FFS and my 2nd BA was well worth it.

GRS & that's what I had.  I don't need FFS & my breasts are ok the way they are.

I had an orchi first, then my SRS 2 mo. ago.

Next is hairline (transplants) in 1 mo.

Facial hair removal stalled out cos my 1st electrologist went all  scorched earth with thermolysis. My only clearing left 2 tiny pits on my chin. They faded over the last 3 years, and people said they didnt see them, but it scared me away for a long time. I had seen too many transwomen with that sort of damage only moreso.

Now I am doing laser with some1 I trust. I didn't have that much facial hair to begin with, though, so I can get away with a close shave and some dermablend. Hair removal is more of a matter of reducing daily hassle for me.

I also want jaw/chin FFS, BA, & liposhaping next year.

GRS, what else?  It's been 11 months, 1 week & 5 days since my GRS.

I don't plan on more surgery.

I had BA done first then orchi & GRS completed in the one surgical process.

I've never had any surgery on my face and don't intend to.

Breast Augmentation.  aka Boob Job.  ;D

Janet

I have a BA but its a Bachelor of Arts, lol. Sorry could not resist that, anyway the boobs don't need doing so its not a priority. I suppose FFS would be the first thing to do if and when I can afford it. SRS is next year. So its sort of upside down for me. I would have had SRS as a second as like people say, "no one sees whats in your pants, lol"

SRS, FFS probably no BA idk yet. SRS is first and foremost just because...I'm waiting to exhale and feel at peace with my place in the world, body and mind aligning. Of course the whole i.d./legal aspect is great too.  FFS Is so important though, but HRT and genetics have done well enough that I can wait a little longer. BA if at all would be somewhere off in a distant future I'm not really thinking about yet. Hair removal is more convenience, my hair is almost transparent, everywhere except on my head.

GRS was most important but I couldn't have transitioned successfully looking male.  Even though I'd been on hormones for several years, I was far from looking like a woman.  I only looked like a feminised male & looking like that I wouldn't have gotten too far in the kind of society we live in. Therefore, I had FFS before (not in place of) GRS.

It really depends on the person. I've had SRS and I'd like FFS, although I don't have problems "blending in" I wouldn't mind it. I'm very glad I've had SRS and for me it was very important and very life changing. I think it has been more life changing, for me, than FFS would have been if I had it first.

I was also very lucky that SRS was covered by my provincial health care plan at the time (it no longer is). Other wise, it would have been a very long time before I got anywhere 'cause I'm just on disability right now. Disability isn't a lot. I've stopped smoking, saving me $2500 per year, and I've been cutting what costs I can. On disability alone, hopefully I can save $5000 a year (about $415 a month). That makes things very tight. If I spent 50,000 on FFS, it would take me about 10 years to get there. Who knows what 10 years brings. And who knows what happens in those 10 years.

For me, even if SRS wasn't covered I'd go for SRS first because it's cheaper and something that I could afford in 3-4 years with saving what I could. I also knew that I'd feel complete. And I don't need to look like a model to feel complete, and I don't need the world to tell me I'm a woman to know that I'm a woman.

Everyone is different, and it all depends on personal perspective, situations, and where they are in life.

Wish I'd had GRS covered by insurance but even when it wasn't, I went for GRS first.  FFS & blending in is important too but if a female face doesn't change your legal status of male, then there's a catastrophe waiting to happen.  How can you live a normal life looking like a woman and being legally male? (birth certificate, identity papers, social security in some countries)

For me, after hair removal it's definitely FFS first ... if I need it.  I saved up enough money for it already and I'm continuing to save until I decide what is necessary after the hormones do their stuff. After that, the priority is SRS.
