Remember a few months back, when I was all whining and cringing and being a bit dramatic about the "1 year RLE" requirement in Iceland?
Well now.
I've been in Rvk for a couple of days now, seeing the people involved in the transition process in Iceland (a gyno, a psychiatrist, and second meeting with psychologist.. missed the speech therapist though but there's not that much she can do for me anyway so I'm fine with that) and been taking tests and jumping through hoops and literally bleeding for my transition's sake (trying to get it "started").
Well, the gyno was terrifying, but went well. The guy likes me and considers me "sane, serious and rational".
The psychiatrist was chatty and bubbly, and all I did was take tests, and she was polite and used all male pronouns, so she seems to be cool with me.
And the Psychologist is a little weird (has a little tick with his leg, it's amusing to watch), but he's chatty, takes me seriously, and appears to like me a bit too...
Long story short, I just got back from the last meet (psychologist) and he basically told me that the next time I come down to Reykjavík (mid nov or mid dec) I can start the T.
... Obviously.. I'm bouncing off the walls at the moment.
Just this little gesture, and a ton's been lifted.
