"I have always wanted to have a neighbor just like you,
I've always wanted to live in a neighborhood with you.

So let's make the most of this beautiful day,
Since we're together, we might as well say,
Would you be mine?
Could you be mine?
Won't you be my neighbor?" - Fred Rogers

Which is interesting, as I grew up mostly in Ohio and Michigan, and partly in the UK.  I also speak a lot of UK English, including saying "maths" as a plural, "naught" instead of "zeros" or "oh" (and as I say, we're currently Living in the Naughties), and I don't have a "living room", "parlour" or "lounge", instead I use the now-antiquated British "drawing room"; and my my nephew asks me, my step-brother (his father) doesn't drive a "rig", he drives a "lorry".
