I haven't been hiding from the neighbours but I live quietly and as many of you know, I'm not FT as yet.

Anyhow, this evening 31 Oct 09, Aussie time. My front door bell went. I went to answer it as I was expecting my sister in law for dinner and a DVD. Opened the door and there was several of the neighbour hood children trick or treating (This is not a usual occurrence in Australia). Of course I was fully made up and dressed getting ready for dinner etc. The childrens' parents, my local neighbours were all discreetly standing a few yards behind their children. I just said, "wait a second", grabbed a bag of mini choc bars from the cupboard and let the kids help themselves, plunging their hands into the bag to grab one. I was of course by now crouched down so they could reach (5-7yr olds)into the bag. And I was making jokes, "Make sure the goblin doesn't grab you and grab someones hand in the bag, lots of squeals."

Kids laughing, not much sounds from the parents.

So I finally said "Happy Halloween" waved and closed the door.

If they didn't know before, they sure do now.

Here in Sydney I was invited to a friend's place for dinner tonight. The kids had a pink long hair wig which they made me put on together with a witches hat and cape and said I should answer the door to hand out the lollies as the neighbourhood kids came around. Anyway towards the end of the night one of the mums said that pink didn't suit me but I would look quite cute as a dark brunette. I said that I prefer to be a brunette. She then said that she should make me up with a short skirt low cut top and heels and with a cheeky smile said that I would then get attention for the right reasons. If only she knew.
