Well, there were a couple people at work that I have been talking to on the phone that are completely aware of my transition--a woman and a man. I have been talking to them regularly and they easily adapted to calling me Melissa and were completely supportive. They work in remote offices and had not actually seen me before, but they were up this week at the office I work at. This morning, I met the woman, Yolanda, who I had talked to about my personal life in the evening on occasion. She was introduced when being shown around the office. She thought I looked very nice. I think I looked better than she was expecting. It seemed to be a pleasant surprise to her.
Later, I met the guy, who's name is Dennis and it wasn't until after I told him I was Melissa, that he realized I wasn't just any woman. He actually said "wow" and looked genuinely surprised. He was kind of cute too.

I think it's funny how people have some preconcieved notion of how a transsexual woman will look and when they meet one who's not VGV (visibly gender variant), they are surprised. In a way, this is a good things, because it make it easier to pass. All in all, I think it was a pleasant surprise for everyone.
