Yeah I always felt that things like deer hunting will be a sport when the deer have 30-06 rifles too.

Maybe you just need to buy some new undies and relax a bit.

And the hunters have to keep their florescent orange vests on.

One of my best trans friends is a hunter and is a spiritual person who shoots animals in the spirit of her ancestors.

That being said, one time years ago I took a group of my customers fishing for a weekend and when I returned home was the first time I shaved my legs.  It felt soooo good and I felt so clean after.

Our graphics designer I work with was complaining that her hunting lisecnce had gone up this year. ($97 all events badge), and showed me pictures of her daughters new "Cricket" .22LR in Pink :o

Thought that was cute then I saw this:

I'm outta here... :o :o :o

never mind, I can't figure out how to insert an image, so here's the link: http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_f3SZ5Tu916o/RvkcQv0C5FI/AAAAAAAAB5E/_cBIepCqu5Q/s1600-h/guns_girl.jpg

Isn't that guaranteed in the constitution?  The right to arm bears?

Uh, did I read too fast, did someone advocate gun confiscation somewhere in this post? I always find it interesting that the minute someone speaks out even mildly about how guns are used nowdays, armed people jump up screaming about their constitutional rights. It's not the right to bear arms at the center of most gun discussions, it's how they are used, and another part of the same document is in use to make that criticism. The second amendment was written at a time when almost everybody HAD to go shoot dinner, and when no one contemplated machine guns, assault rifles, anti-tank guns. I mean, the musket loading single shot long gun takes 20-30 seconds to be reloaded by the trained expert. It's really hard to pull off an effective drive-by with one of those.  :icon_pistoles:Some gun toters need to hunt for food still, in this day and age - the rest are hobbyists. I assume this will give rise to the self-defense defense. Don't bother, I usually agree for that need, but only because we've enabled millions of offensive oriented people to be armed.

Well, I sure didn't read anyone even remotely suggest such a thing, it would be almost impossible to do it, and if you could, it would take decades for anyone to round up the guns. The number of guns owned by civilians in the United States is between 238 million and 276 million, which in a country of 300 million is pretty damn close to a gun for everyone.

It's not the right to bear arms at the center of most gun discussions, it's how they are used
And what use is that?  How many real uses to they have?  Sure, if people were making lamps out of them, or using them to hammer nails the anti-gun people might tone down a bit, but the reality is that a gun is a machine.  Like all machines it's designed to do something, and what they are designed to do - and they do it very well - is kill things.  Handguns in particular a machine designed to kill people.  Any other 'use' is just so much BS.
