RuPaul: Accidental Drag Queen?

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Flamboyant entertainer RuPaul didn't always know he'd be America's No. 1 drag queen.

In fact, drag was just something RuPaul got dragged into by his buddies back in the '80s, when he joined a rock 'n' roll band.

RuPaul says his band would play shows in New York dressed in drag to "shock audiences," and the response to his cross-dressing was overwhelming.

He explains, "The crowds were wowed and took interest to me as a queen. I discovered that it was my unique talent."
