So my hair is about 2.5 inches long as of now

But how long would it take me on average to see hair of that length before I could get it?
2010 winter time, or even later?

And is it a kind of style that is strictly female?

but I am pretty sure that would look "flaming" on me, well maybe not, but it just seems really risky for the average person... since that hairstyle is really feminine like a Spice Girl look.
