im not sure where to start so i guess ill just tell a little about myself. im a 18 year old mtf from virginia, i joined here when i was looking for somewhere online to talk to people going through the same things. ive known since i was about 6 that i felt more like a girl than a boy but never told anyone until recently. i went through about 3 years where i got rid of any womens clothes i had and tried to convince myself that i was gonna stop. i went into depression and had alot of other problems while i was trying to do that. earlier this year i finally decided to stop denying it and came out to a few of my friends, and a couple weeks ago i came out to my mom. so far everyone ive told supports me and im going to a therapist to talk about things. im glad i found this board so far everyone seems very nice and helpful

There are transgender support groups in Virginia, Adrean.  If you don't find anything nearby in our links area (on the Home Page), ask about it.  Maybe we can help find something realtively close by.
