Ok, so I've been battling with bad razor burn and ingrowns since i started shaving my leg, and I mean BAD. I started the mach 3, ouch, the turbo version was a little better but still left me in quite a bit of pain for the next few days. but then my sister gut the schick quatro, I went out and bought my own blades for it, and got the blades made for the power version (the orange one)havent touched my mach 3 since. Still some discomfort it tricky areas. I used those up and when I went to get more I made the bad mistake of getting the regular quatro blades. imagine shaving with a serated knife.... so I went all out and got the quattro titanium blades...Worth every penny of that $12. so heres my explanation....
-the blades in both the power and titanium are spaced closer together than the original quattros, the mach 3 spaced even further apart
-the moiturizer strips last longer, and much more so than the mach 3
-the titanium coating on the blades....now I thought it was just another sales ploy, but if you, like me, have not started HRT, and still have that horrible thick, stiff, body hair, then you know one blade doesnt last very long. often dulling by the end of the first leg. The titanium stays sharp to the end...

so if you still trying to find the right blades, try the Quattro Titanium, they're worth it!

And here, I'm using the same single bladed razor for I don't know how long....

I suppose I should ask Brick for another one of these days.

One trick I use is Baby Oil.......lots of it in the bathwater....

The shaving's easier, no matter what blade you're using....

and the oil leaves the skin VERY soft indeed....

Ah yes, I second that tip!

Though I still say an epilator is a girl's best friend. Takes forEVER to use, but there's no appreciable stubble for days at least, and no noticable growth really for a couple weeks. Just be sure to exfolliate like there's no tomorrow (who knows?) or ingrowns can be nasty.

Of course, there's also this liiiiiiitle issue of pain... oh my...

As much as I hate shaving, I do an awful lot of it!  ;D

But I suggest shaving legs after soaking a little while in the bathtub.  To add to the baby oil tip, any bath oil will do if you prefer having scented bath stuff (I love bath stuff!) as long as your not allergic to it! If you get an unusual amount of itchiness or redness, you may be allergic to something you are using on your skin.  I noticed that when I shave, the shaved area is much more sensitive to things like scented lotions and detergents immediately after shaving, so you may want to hold off slathering lotion on your skin until a little while later if you notice a sensitivity (if you use hypoallergenic lotion like Aveeno, you'd probably be okay)  For the love of God, do not shave dry!  I've done this several times in a pinch and it has never really worked out well! (You know, when you're about to leave the house in a tanktop and realize at the last minutes that you forgot your underarms! Yikes! I hate it when I do that!
