March 4th!!!!

I'm just concerned about what happens when my gf and I come back. Right now I'm the one with the job but if I'm unable to work for a while then what... assuming my job is still waiting for me by then.

Try to take a medical leave.  FLA, I think it is called.

I looked into that & can't take FMLA. The company is smaller than 50 employees so they're exempt from that.

Dang.  Short term disability?  or Vacation or sick time?  But you probably thought of those already.

Get your co-workers to cover for you for a few months.

"Oh, <nerdychick>? She just went to the ladies room."

Congrats on your date!

Are you trying to take the time with or without pay?   If you can do an unpaid leave of absence somehow, I bet they would work with you.  But it appears your only option is to sit down and talk to them about it.

Best of luck!

Yup, it sure looks that way.

Friday I'm going to ask about their (our) policy on this. 'Cuz that's payday & even if they should figure out why I'll be away I still want to be sure to be able to pay the rent.  :-\

I'm in my hospital bed recovering from yesterday's surgery. All went well no complications. Before I went under, the nurses gave me a Thai name it's Dàwkbua which means lotus flower. I cannot express in a post how happy I am to be reborn finally. :)

Hi Nerdychick

Congratulations on your successful surgery.  It definitely is the most enlightening thing that one can experience when your mind is finally at peace with your body.

How did you resolve your problem with work and being away?

Take care, look after yourself and best wishes for the future and a speedy recovery.

Kind regards
Sarah B

Welcome to the world fair Dàwkbua blossom!

Rest and take your time, the process of rebirth can be traumatic.

Congratulations!

Thank you all! :) It is a great time to be reborn because over here my surgery date was 4/3/2553 so the day after is abbreviated 5/3/53. Back at home the old me was born on 5/3/81.  :D

I'm considering changing my screen name now since "nerdychick" is a bit generic.

Welcome to the club of those who have completed the journey. I wish you a speedy healing and at least as long a happy postop life as I have had.

Congratulations on your arrival at trans-central-station. ;)
