Ya, I know, This is the area for "Significant Others". Sorry. Just had to ask a question for any parents of TG children.

What goes through your mind when your son/daughter came out to you? What were you thinking? All my mum does when i bring it up is stare at me. Nod her head. She goes tight lipped, and doesnt make eye contact.
I feel bad that when i become more public im going to make her look bad in a way. As if she messed up while raising me (which she didn't). Is there any way i can make it easier for her throughout the next few years while still getting my own needs addressed at the same time?
Would it be better if i explained it more, or would that just be embarrasing for both of us? I just can't let my gender issues get in the way of of relationship. She's not against it....she's just not with it.

I think you just need to ease her into it. Be patient. things with parents take time. She's gotta cope on her own terms. If she asks a question, answer it earnestly. If she doesn't bring it up, try and just let it slide for a while. Live as comfortably as you can and keep taking steps for you. If she wants to know something, she'll ask.
