Vyn

Hi everyone, Vyn here.

I am an androgyne in my 20s, and have always have known I was neither man nor woman when it came to gender, ever since I was a small child in fact.  One of my good (and very knowledgeable) trans friends says I'm either an androgyne or genderless, and I frankly am not sure which myself as they may overlap.  :)   I think my family and close friends knew my gender was atypical even before I did, and I still find myself a bit out of place in society's current cultural binary standards.  It can be hard to relate sometimes.

Anyway, it is nice to see a group of people with a variety of gender expressions here at Susans, and even an androgyne section in the forum - it makes me feel a bit more at ease talking about what's on my mind in an open community.  I may not be trans in the typical sense of the word (since I'm not really transitioning to anything), though I do have some close friends who are transgendered, and would like to learn more about the entire gender community, as well as explore my own options a bit further.  Thanks for hearing me out, and have a nice day (or night).

Hi Vyn

Welcome to Susan's :-*. Kate and Janet will post the riot act no doubt  So I'll just welcome you. Have a good look around, there are all sorts of GID people here, it's a friendly family place and of course we are all used to the stuff that people like us have to deal with. We are also truly international, I'm in Australia, where are you?

Have fun
Hugs

Thanks for your warm welcome Cindy, there does seem to be a pretty large variety of folks here from my cursory glances.  The more international the better as far as I'm concerned, and I've always been fascinated by Australia.  I'm from Victoria, Canada myself.

Hi Vyn!  :icon_biggrin:
Undivided gender, genderless...  It would seem you and I have much in common genderwise. I understand what you mean about not being 'trans' and yet being of atypical gender. I'm looking forward to reading more about you and your gender experience.

FYI - It takes a total of 15 posts before you can do and see a number of things on this website so don't be shy about posting.

Androgyne.
I am not Trans-masculine, I am not Trans-feminine.
I am not Bigender, Neutrois or Genderqueer.
I am neither Cisgender nor Transgender.
I am of the 'gender' which existed before the creation of the binary genders.

Hey-o Vyn, welcome to the boat (that tends to rock every now and then- so seatbelts and yadda). It has a pretty decent crew and I'm sure you'll find plenty of threads worthy to dig your nails into. See you 'round the boards.  8)

Welcome to Susan's, Vyn.  :icon_flower:

There's a lot of good information and good people here.  Each of our stories is unique but we have a lot in common.  Settle in, pull up a keyboard, and explore.

Be sure to look under the Announcements heading.  There you will find the rules we live by in this little world of ours:
Look through the other stuff there, too.

Each of us is just part of the wonderful diversity of life.  I'm glad you're here.

Happy exploring. :icon_wave:

Welcome aboard. As the married spouse of a transitioning Androgyne who also happens to be a member of this group I know for a fact that there is plenty of room for anouther Andrgyne.
This place has every shade of gender queer I have ever encountered. I am prettyy sure someone around here can relate to any issue you may have.

When they say family here they mean it! If not or the people here and on my other forum I would have completely lost it and suicide about 5 months ago.

So jump in, read up in the referance section and help us as we help you.

Thanks everyone for the welcome wagon.  :)

Yes Emerald, I feel just as you describe, neither man nor woman, somehow outside of gender, undivided, undifferentiated, androgynous or what have you.  That is where my natural comfort zone is.  It is great many people find comfort in the gender binary, but it sure can be an alien world to some of us.  And Cynthia, I'm happy to hear about other androgyne or neutral members of the site, and its diversity.  I was afraid I might be relegated to the forum fringes due to my non-binary status in a primarily trans community. ^^; But this seems not to be the case.  It looks plenty friendly to me.
