Never heard of that movie before... Since I play music, people often think that the name is related to zither, an instrument that I don't play.

mariska

I created my female name in the same way my parents choose my name by birth and in the same manner my sister got hers by birth.

That is why I call my self Mariska and it is the name I use in real life.

Greatings to you all,   Mariska

Laurry

I chose my name, Laurie, because it sounds like my birth name, Larry.  I almost chose Lauren, but it sounded a little stand-offish, and not as friendly as Laurie.  The O is from my last name.

Ya put your right foot in.  You put your right foot out.  You put your right foot in and you shake it all about.  You do the Andro-gyney and you turn yourself around.  That's what it's all about.

Vanessa V.

Its a little bit of both a name I made up and the name of my female side...

My Mother told me once that I would have been named Vanessa if I was born a girl....

And so here I am!

I always thought it was very cool to know that.... :)

Louise

The name that I use here is the name that I gave my feminine side when I was in my teens--so I have used this name for myself for almost 50 years.  I never told anyone else about my femme name until I started surfing the net about a decade ago.

My femme name is the feminine version of my middle name (which I never use, except as an initial).  It is also the name of the first girl that I had a crush on in gradeschool.  It is not a very common name but I like it because it is French and it sounds pretty.

When I am in an androgynous mood I will refer to myself as Lou.

My parents had a name picked out for me in case had I been born a girl, but they've forgotten now what it was. :( Otherwise I would have gone with that.

(I know for sure that it's not the same name I did end up choosing.)

Ricki

its real just switch the sylabol at the end.  there is a more formal version that Rick-Ricki-ricky-break off from.
But I love the Name Rachel, i dunno maybe it was from watching friends?
Jennifer anniston is oo cool in my opinion she's cute / pretty built nice but not overly done!

Satin

Mine goes back to grade school when I had a classmate named Lacey who I always admired.  For some reason she struck me as being a true girl's girl and I was drawn to that.  It didn't seem right to copy hers directly so I went with Satin when I joined my first forum a year or so ago.  It's fluffy, but to me entirely feminine.

Genevieve

Hi Everyone,

Genevieve is a French name I fell in love with. I seem to like the letter G.  *giggles*

My real name when I get there is going to be:

Gwyneth Delilah

Gwyneth is from the same origins, both in locality and time, as my male name. I like my male name but it does not fit the true me.

Delilah is just pretty.  :)

I'm going to keep my given surname.

Take care All,

Genevieve

nonie

Mine is a middle name/nickname I was considering, though I'm leaning more traditional now with William Matthias.  My given name, Winona, is pretty unique and ethnic, but I kind of got tired of people asking about it and wanted something normal and masculine with the same initials.

elish

Elish is a short from the name Elishia, which comes from the album title of one of my favorite bands - Opthalamia. It is an internet nick I use. My real name is Alice.

i chose made-up name... but that was the best category i could fit it into.

But it's not really made up. It comes from the word Wishfire which is an album name from my favourite band, Cruxshadows.

On that album is a spoken track called "Before the Fire" and it goes like this:

"I have made life and experience from the imaginations of youth
I have slept a million nights below the darkness of silence
I am the incarnation of your delusions,
or your insights...
I am the voice of warning
I am the thread which ties life to reality
I am your guardian
I am the wishfire..."

Those lyrics speak the very truth behind my life. It is who i am, what i feel. The very courage lies in those words that get me from day to day, the strength and beleif. So when i started using the internet, this was my chosen netname. After chatting for a while on a particular forum, i got nicknamed Wishy, which has stuck with me.

Mia and Marq

Although I don't spell it the way it is on my birth certificate, it is my real name none the less and if I had two birth certificates, I'm sure Mia would be on the other one.

Being given the gift of two-spirits meant that this individual had the ability to see the world from two perspectives at the same time. This greater vision was a gift to be shared, and as such, Two-spirited beings were revered as leaders, mediators, teachers, artists, seers, and spiritual guides

Julie Marie

Actually it's pretty simple.  There have been a few Julies in my life.  I've liked them all.  I've always liked the name.  Jim and Julie start with the same initial.  Marie is a family middle name that has been carried on for centuries.  And the Julies I have known have all been lovely people, both inside and out.  I hope I can live up to the image.

Julie Marie Moriarty

PS:  My last name is real.  We come from County Kerry in Ireland.  The place is loaded with transsexuals.  Did you see "Waking Ned Devine"?
Just kidding ... Julie

Interestingly, the name my parents were originally going to give me was a J name. My grandparents told them "you can't name your kid that!" So it's probably good that I picked the one I did.

I've considered changing my screen name to include my real name but haven't decided for sure yet. On one hand, it'd be more personal, but on the other, it kind of shows off my geekyness having an upside down username. :D

Oh umop ap!sdn, I didn't see that till you pointed it out. How clever. I'm usually more observant and would have picked up on that. Although a lot of times I'll see liscense plates that have some sort of play on words or letters that I don't always recognize.

Cool though.
