(More of a UPS question than Strohecker's)

I'm having my testosterone delivered to me at my friend's apartment because my mother doesn't want me staying in her house (I'm staying at his place). I should be getting it tomorrow. I ordered it from Strohecker's and asked for overnight delivery.... Does anyone know if I'll need to sign for it or will they (UPS) just put it in my friend's mail box? lol sorry I've never had anything sent to an apartment before so I don't really know how that works

I had some mailed to me once. Apparently you have to sign for anything medical at the post office. I'm not sure how that works for UPS. I would be interested in knowing also.

I've had things that they couldn't leave next door before and if we missed them for the second time they were kept at the depot and had to be collected. Depending on the company, it can be pretty far away.

They have to do something reasonable for people in apartments right? I mean everyone in an apartment doesn't have to deal with driving to a post office to get their package. That'd be ridiculous. Strohecker's said they THINK I won't have to sign for it but they couldn't help me with information on where exactly the package will be delivered to (door, mailbox, front office, post office) because I'm in a different city/state than them.

I hope I don't have to go to the post office just because I'm having it delivered to an apartment. I'm 100% certain that if I had it delivered to my mothers house I would get it delivered to the door.

I have no idea about apartments. But here, if it's an independent delivery company and not Royal Mail then the depot can be anywhere in the country.

Have you tried looking for help on their website? Or even emailing them?

Yeah I emailed them but I won't get a response for one business day and I tried calling them but I could only talk to a robot lol.

Both times I've gotten my T from Strohecker's I haven't had to sign for it.  It comes in the mailbox like regular mail only it's a little bigger (like a flat rate box).  You shouldn't have to go down to the post office.

I ordered it UPS overnight delivery... they should come to the door, right?

I'm not sure the protocol on overnight delivery.  But I suspect it'll come in the mailbox unless it won't fit for some reason.  Not all UPS packages will come be placed on the doorstep.

Do let us know how it comes to you when you get it though.

Regarding UPS and apartments:  If you're there, they will deliver it, but you need to sign for it.
.
If you're not there, they will leave a sticker on the front door saying "1st attempt..will be back tomorrow."  Some services only get one attempt though.
.
If you can't be there, you need to call the number on the sticker, and input your infonotice number.    Then you can tell them to "deliver to alternate address" (for an additional fee) or "pick-up at the UPS hub."  Generally, you'll have to pick it up before 6PM, but they'll keep it at the center for a week before they send it back to the sender.
.
Honestly, it's a pain.  I hate when people send me stuff UPS.  If it's trans related, I avoid sending it to work...and my UPS center is 45 minutes away from where I work...which makes pick-up difficult.  I have a UPS center 10 minutes from where I work, but because it isn't the center my address is delivered from, they will only send it there at an additional extra charge.
.
An exception to this is if there is an office manager on duty at the apartment.  They will sometimes have the manager sign for packages, and some apartments have a policy where they will put the package inside your door, or you can pick it up at their office.
.
If this isn't the kind of apartment you have...and you can't be there to sign for it...you'll more than likely have to pick it up from the UPS hub.
.
Good luck,
.

I'll definitely be here to sign for it I just wanted to make sure that they WILL come to the door of an apartment. I'm glad to hear that they will. Everything should be okay tomorrow... hopefully. lol this is more complicated than it should be.

It's almost 5pm  and it's still not here. I've been waiting all day. I have no confirmation number to check on the status of the delivery.

When was the order placed?  If it was later in the afternoon, it may not even have shipped same day...as it could have missed their cut-off time.  (If they're out East, subtract the hour as necessary for time zone change) For some companies I've worked with, by 3PM may be their cut off time.
.
Otherwise, are you in a rural or urban area?  If you know where it is being shipped from, go here:
https://wwwapps.ups.com/ctc/request
.
click "time-in-transit only"  put in the two zip codes, and you'll see what your location's next day air 'delivery by' time is.  Generally it's either 10am, 12pm, or by the end of the business day (if you're really out in the sticks).
.
My guess, is that it wasn't shipped the same day you ordered, if you haven't received it yet.
.
:(  Sorry to hear it.  Not much you can do other than contact the company again.

point of order - UPS (nor anyone else) will EVER use the mail box.

That's a Federal offense.

Apparently so are the people delivering my packages.
