I know an trans-woman who has a lot of masculine interests. do any of you trans-men have a bit of a feminine side to your personality? i can't really think of anything with me, but i thought it is a relevant question to ask.

I jokingly say that if I was male I'd be the most stereotypical gay guy you would ever meet, minus the 'voice'.  I'm horribly feminine and I like a lot of stereotypical feminine things: sewing, cooking, crocheting, etc.  I enjoy getting my hair and nails done, I love shopping...Yep, I definitely have a feminine side to me, but I also identify as male.

Yeah I have some. But I'm not sure if it's a "side" or just some old habits. I enjoy cooking every once in a while (though I am horrible at it), and cleaning sometimes (Definitely not trying to stereotype but that's how I was raised). But those kinda things...but other than that, not really. I have always been pretty masculine. Never put on make-up or dressed up womanly or anything. But that's just me.

I actually can't think of any feminine interests. All mine are quite stereotypically male. How boring...

I was always too masculine, never liked girly stuff.

uh, perhaps it would be helpful if I had a list of what is considered masculine or feminine.

As it is I'm just me and really don't think about whether what I'm doing is masculine or feminine.  I just do it because I enjoy it.

lol, well I'd be more towards the bottom option then the top, Ryan.  Unfortunately I don't know my way around an carburettor but I would be thrilled to learn!   

Let's see, I like procrastinating, sitting in front of the computer, writing twisted erotic fiction, playing video games, dancing to my ipod and sex.  I garden a bit and read biographies occasionally.  I parent my kids and we take walks to the park.  I dress comfortably and can spend a little bit of time shopping if there is a good selection.  I exercise all the time, cardiovascular and free weights and do many manly push-ups.

Fairly Odd Parents is actually funny considering what it is. There are only a few kids cartoons I can actually enjoy.

I'd scream...and then I'd run from the room.  And spiders *shudders*.  Spiders are the worst, I can't get within ten feet of them without squealing and possibly crying...

Then you know exactly how I scream. xD  I'm not kidding in when I say I scream just like Timmy's Dad.

That's a fascinating sort of insect; poisonous, it hunts down other insects, especially poisonous spiders, in your house and eats them.  Not dangerous to humans, though the bite swells a bit.  Sadly, it tends to keep to the ground floor and basement levels.

However, if we're speaking of what American culture deems to be stereotypically feminine qualities, I have a ton and a half! (There is a reason I also identify as genderqueer. XD) Let's see... I practically define nurturing. I like cute and pretty things (and often squeal in glee when I see them), though my idea of what is cute or pretty is, I suppose, far from stereotypical (i.e. arthropods are amongst the cutest things ever). I delight in wearing brightly colored skirts and jewelry. I'm an incredibly emotional person. Need I go on?

I have a lot of soft toys and cute stuff. I like singing and dancing to Lady Gaga.  I like cooking.  I read autobiographies written by supermodels. I like celebrity gossip. I like to dress well and have good hair.  I secretly want to learn hairdressing. I talk in a squeaky voice to my cats. I purchase and eat  cupcakes.

but guess what...

SO DO ZILLIONS OF CIS GUYS! Including heaps that I know!

Anything with more than 4 legs starts creeping into the scream zone for me.

still sleep with stuffed animals (more anxiety than anyhting else), mildly freaked out by bugs, lady gaga is a secrete pleasure, i AM willing to cross-dress if i'm bored enough, meh i'm a general flaming gay boy who happens to like girls.

I think most queers like singing and dancing to Lady Gaga. Funny story... a couple of my gay male friends got up on a balcony at school and turned up some Lady Gaga music where people down below walking to and from classes could hear and started dancing to one of her songs (apparently they had memorized one of the music videos). And the funny thing is the balcony belonged to the LGBT center at our university.
