Stereotypically there is feminine handwriting, which is neat and tidy and masculine handwriting that is rough and messy.

Has anyone tried to change their handwriting to match the gender that they identify with, or has it not been a problem?

Personally, my handwriting is terrible, and if i do transition then I would try my best to improve it.

I haven't tried to change it.  My handwriting changes on its own depending on my mood and what type of writing instrument I'm using.  It goes from large and neat to thin and scrawling.

I really like to change my handwriting to anything that is legible.

I think faster than I can write clearly.  And I can't spell to save myself.

Writing by hand has always been unpleasant business in my book. Pencils & pens I grip stiffly, and my hand hurts after a while of use.

I find writing such a daunting task that my big aspiration is to arrive at some consistent scrawl I can use for a signature and just take advantage of my swift typing speed.

I don't think it matters. In elementary school we always use to decide who's handwriting was girly and who's wasn't, and if we had graphed gender against handwriting (neatness), there wouldn't have been much of a correlation. But, if you want to work on it, I believe girly handwriting is stereotypically curvier with loops and such. Can you write well in cursive. Maybe switch to that. But again, I don't think it matters.

I have okay-looking handwriting, but I always say it's "guy handwriting" (which I'm totally happy with) so I have no need to change my handwriting to match my gender, because it's already there

Mine is small and very legible, with a style somewhere between standard lettering and cursive.  Both men and women often tell me they're jealous of my handwriting, but I don't think it lends itself to a particular gender stereotype;  if anything, it's androgynous.

All my life i have been told i write like a boy. Ive tried to write neat and bubbly like a girl but i just cant.. so no i wouldn't have to change it.

I've adapted my penmanship skills quite a few times. I always loved cute handwriting some girls had in hs so I tried to mimic them because it was cute. So I guess it's fine by now haha

I never really thought about it until I recently came across some notebooks from Junior High... My handwriting used to be all loopy and backhanded..very girly!.. I even used little circles to dot my "i"s and "j"s. Later on, I remember making the decision to write more like a boy so other kids wouldn't notice.. Since I hardly ever use a pen anymore it would be quite a task to change my writing back.

My normal handwriting is overtly masculine, and very distinctive.

Imagine a Daddy Long Legs falling in a pot of ink and running across the page, and you've got something pretty close to the mark.

In a word - terrible! It's bad even when compared to my cismale coworkers 

I am capable of writing in a perfect "new foundation" (yay 1980's schooling) style, and it is very readable - but I only do that for forms and important documents. Otherwise it's the slap-dash-scribble print.

well I have always had gross messy handwriting, and I used to feel bad abotu it cause I knew most girls had big bubbly letters.. but now.. im happy about my messy handwriting.

My handwriting hasn't been a problem for me in regards to matching the gender I identify with if we're basing it off of that. Ever since I was little it's been messy. We used to get graded on handwriting in elementary school and I don't think I ever got anything above a C. My sister has stereotypical female handwriting though. It's big, curvy, and bubbly. Whereas mine is the opposite of all of that. I used to try and mimic it, and it was a disaster. XD

No one's ever told me that I write like a boy though. My mom would always say, "You write like a scientist!" to make me feel better about it. o.O

I've always been told that I write like chicken scratch.  Thank goodness for word processors!

idk , the handwriting of everyone i know whether it's a guy or a girl is more tidy/nice than mine , my handwriting is merely a set of light lines that are rarely straight. it seems that i don't have that much control over my fingers afterall

My handwriting starts of neat and then just goes into a mess because I can't be bothered.

same. also it looks different, like, everyday, depending on my state of mind....
